The Deep Blue - Canterbury - Photo album

Spent the weekend in Canterbury and this chip shop was close to my hotel. Everything I had from there was freshly cooked and the cod bites meal with chips and mushy peas was ridiculously good! A nice looking shop and experienced good service both times I was there. Recommended.
Lovely staff and great portion sizes! So lucky to have as my local ♡♡♡ (=`ω´=) lady who served me is great
We went in here for an evening meal on our visit to Canterbury,it’s not a bad little place could do with a bit of a spruce up.The food was quite enjoyable you certainly got a good portion for your money. The Mrs went to the toilets and said they were not that brilliant,it’s a shame as little things l
More focus on take away than eating in the dining room, but both are available. Fish and chips comes in small, medium or large, and the photo is of the large portion, which was large. I've also eaten their beef and onion pie with chips. The portion of chips is certainly adequate. The menu also has b
Not a bad meal for 2 for less than £20, waitress service in the cosy restaurant with a view of the passers by, including lost acquaintances on Wincheap. However not up to the high standard of previous years. Maybe late lunchtime on a Saturday was not prime frying time. Lovely grilled plaice and hadd
Great service banging fish & chips in eat here whenever I'm in Canterbury 👍
First time of visiting this eatery. The service was quick and very friendly. The food was really nice and tasty and not over priced. Enjoyed this experience.
Good portions at a reasonable price and the staff were friendly too.
Lovely service on a Saturday afternoon in Canterbury's "Papa's The Deep Blue" take away 💙 the cod and chips were absolutely delicious 😋and the fish was sooo fresh! I gave 4 stars because the calamari was disappointingly dry, it probably needed 5mins less in the fryer for perfection... Otherwise a ve
An hour ago I phoned my order to Papa's, drove to Wincheep, picked it up and have now eaten the the best Fish & Chips I've ever had. Great haddock, not over cooked and dry, good thin batter and great chips. Without doubt 5 star. Well done.
Best fish and chip shop in town.
I have been eating the fish and chips from here for years. It's my "chippy" of choice locally because the chips are just perfect, not to hard or squishy like in other similar places. The fish is also delicious, I like haddock but the cod is good too.
Gave it 4 stars and not 5 only because I was slightly disappointed in the salad that came with the grilled cod....apart from that everything else was top class. Easy to see why it is rated the best in Canterbury. I would recommend and I will be back....but pep up the salad guys!!
