Had a fun filled evening at our pizza making party. Attentive staff and great pizza toppings.

Fantastic food & service here enjoyed it very much go there every time we go to Canterbury
Simply lovely fresh pizza, no rush atmosphere but lively and not boring.
Fab staff - very attentive / lovely fresh hot food !
Has a lovely morning here for a pizza making day
Kids loved it thank you x
Waitress was lovely and very attentive. Food was excellent and decently priced (with voucher).
It is one of the best restaurants making pizza in London even I tried it in Canterbury 😃. The staff are very friendly and helpful and food is very delicious. Recommended.
Very nice spot overlooking the river. My server was lovely. Food is always reliable, the Caesar salad was great and the cheesy dough balls were indulgent.
We've all eaten at Pizza Express. The service here was excellent. Friendly and engaging. Was even given a cab referral for my onward journey. Thanks
Great visit! We was seated next to the window and had the gorgeous views of the river and passing boats. Food & drink orders were taking promptly by Sam who knew the menu well and offered his recommendations. He was professional, friendly and accomodating. Food was served hot and it was delicious. We will be coming back!
It is our first time we tried a "Take out" option at Pizza Express. We got the box with the kids menu for 7.25. And my child enjoyed his meal with the river view near Marlow Theater. All was delicious 😋
Amazing food, great menu and lovely staff.
I’ve been a few times to this restaurant and have always been impressed.
The staff were phenomenal. So friendly and good with my daughters.
We all really enjoyed the food and the new app means you can earn rewards each time you visit.
A lovely dinner and all round experience.
Our family favourite and go-to for a treat meal out. Amazing vegan options, cosy atmosphere and best of all we always a super enthusiastic server who always goes beyond. Its not a cheap meal out anymore but understand the economic reasons behind this. Sold Pizza Express experience.
We were on a mission with errands to run everywhere. My wife offered to treat us to lunch and so stumbled across Pizza Express.
They had a previous good experience at the Ashford Outlet branch so didn't see any issues here.
We were seated upstairs right next to a very loud child's birthday in a very small space. It was loud!
There were seats downstairs and we could have sat there. However was placed next to this noise.
After my wife went and asked for other seating, we were indeed given a seat downstairs.
My wife ordered a chicken pasta dish while I ordered a pizza.
My wife's dish was a large slab of breaded chicken and some salad, no pasta in sight! My pizza was a the BBQ brisket, it didn't look like much, in fact I would go as far as to say it was just a brown mess on a base.
I quickly found the whole flavour of this was BBQ sauce, as it was smothered in it. I like a BBQ pizza but not a pizza base with BBQ sauce and sprinkling of meat. Would stay away from that one on the menu!
The service from our waitress was outstanding. She took the time to interact with the children, which was nice. One point is to maybe consider asking your customers how everything was.
Not sure I will want to return here.
We were out on a works meal. The service was amazing. Our waiter was attentive and polite. We were sat near the bar and every time I looked over the staff were always making themselves busy cleaning and tidying up, which shows great dedication to their job. The food was delicious! We had a started, main and dessert and we're all pleased with the food. When the bill came we had an issue with our voucher, but our waiter and the manager were so helpful and friendly, put us at ease and found a solution. Thank you to all who dealt with us! We will definitely be returning :)
Great service, the food was brought to us quickly, and we left the restaurant feeling stuffed! Used the app to book, which rewarded us with a free dough balls token. We will definitely be back. 🍕👍
Great service, food was amazing and staff very attentive. Manager (Emma I think her name was) couldn’t be more helpful. Would highly recommend.
Staff were fantastic, had a newborn with me and the waitress was lovely - cutting my pizza for me so I could feed him, and just being so welcoming !! Thank you !!
I arrived at the wonderful restaurant, known to the people as pizza express, with a spring in my step and a smile on my face. It was fair to say that this was not my first rodeo at the hallowed grounds of the Italy-inspired pantheon, having been there multiple times in the previous months. I ordered a large pizza and sat, licking my lips in anticipation of the culinary adventure I was about to embark on. However, 45 minutes later my pizza had not arrived, and I was beginning to grow impatient. Smoke began to pour from my ears as my anger grew, and I felt myself slipping into the void of pure rage. Then, the moment came. My pizza arrived, along with my Kombucha and Doughballs, and I was instantly placated. Although on the expensive side, it was a very pleasurable experience, and I will be back again soon.
We've just been for lunch with our 5 month old daughter. Our server Matthew was phenomenal. He was so helpful, suggesting things on the menu to help us with our choices and having lovely chats about the baby. We don't go out for meals since having Dotty and this felt really special. Thank you for being great Matt! Mel, Will and baby Dorothy xo
I visited Pizza Express in Canterbury on Saturday 23 November 2019 in the evening. I was with one other person. This was my first visit to this Pizza Express. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place.
The restaurant comprises of one medium sized main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service.
The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I enjoyed dough balls for my starter, an American pizza for my main course and the festive Millionaire's Fudge Cake for my dessert. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. I used Tesco Clubcard vouchers so the food was exceptionally good value for money!
As always with Pizza Express, I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come and visit again.
Well, tucked away from the high street, in a side road, with the front door closed we walk to the rear of the restaurant. Passing a wrought iron gate we entered the building. It was a cold night and we were happy to be seated in a corner next to the radiator.
We took our time choosing from the menu and we didn't seem rushed. We were given the time to talk to each other about our days activities. We had some soft drinks and some wonderful stuffed green olives, these are a must if you visit pizza express.
I ordered Leggera Padana pizza which consisted of Goats cheese, caramelised onion, spinach, red onion, tomato and garlic oil. A bit thin on the tomato puree however perfectly symmetrical toppings.
Whilst my fiancee ate a Carbonara Pizza made from pancetta, mozzarella and garlic oil on bechamel base, baked with a free range egg and finished with grated Gran Milano cheese and fresh parsley. Lots of bechamel base sauce however, uneven spread of pancetta.
Why o' why does my fiancee choose better dishes of food to eat than myself. As soon as I looked at my fiancees pizza I wanted to swap dishes with her. At least I was given a few slices - and yes the bechamel base is quite special.
I liked my main course. I was trying to avoid eating meat and my main was under 600 calories. So I had two deserts instead as I hadn't eaten all day.
I had raspberry ripple cheesecake on a crunchy biscuit base, topped with sweet honeycomb and chocolate pieces, served with mascarpone.
My fiancee had moist carrot cake and a cup of tea. I tried hers and yet again I felt like I'd lost out - so, I ordered myself a piece with an espresso.
The service was quick and attentive, the restaurant had an upstairs, downstairs and three function rooms, disabled access and disabled toilets.
The volume of the music was acceptable, conversation volume was good and children with mum and dad where very well behaved with perfect charm and etiquette.
