I've had fajitas all over the place and by far these were the best I've ever tasted
The feel of the pub is warm and friendly and staff are spot on
This is not the first time I've eaten there and definitely not the last
Hi five to the boys who run the show
Family birthday celebration, everyone enjoyed their meal. Good food portions and staff were friendly. Could have more staff on the floor as there was only one girl waitressing, that would be my only criticism. Thank you :)
Friendly atmosphere, great food and dog friendly - well worth a visit
We had a lovely home made soup with baguette. Was delicious. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious. Highly recommend.
Great food, very friendly staff, great character to the Pub, all in all ten out of ten.
Great food, staff are all friendly and very accommodating, lovely secure garden outside for the kids to run around in too
First visit to this lovely pub for my daughters 16th Birthday! My son and daughter have been numerous times and wanted us to try it! Food 5* at affordable prices! Lovely atmosphere with real open fire! Attentive staff offering excellent service! Can't wait to come back!
Treated my step dad to a roast and we absolutely loved it! Amazing food! Hadn't been in a while and was recently told there was a new chef..definitely an improvement! Best roast to date will certainly be going back!
Great food at great prices, atmosphere was lovely and friendly staff. What more could you want. Will definitely be going back
Great food, big portions, friendly staff. We will be going back again!
Mexican Cricket?. Ye Olde Beverlie is according to urban legend the birthplace of cricket and so quintessentially English, this latest incarnation of an old English Pub has seen it come back as a fusion of mexican and English cuisine and like all those new Dr Who incarnations, this strangely works!
The food is well prepared and presented, uses the best of ingredients and is served in portions that will not make you need a chinese take away later before bed time.
The atmosphere is the same old pub, including the back garden where bat & trap (A local Kentish game) has been played for centuries (They claim to have records of games from 1740) but at present this is devoted to an outside food area.
I had the mexican ribs which had a sauce you could cheerfully kill for and my companion had a steak that was rare enough that a good vet could cure it but that was able to be cut with a butter knife.
A great new addition to the Canterbury restaurant scene
The pub was quiet inside but busy In the garden as it was a nice afternoon. The starter was excellent. My main was meant to be steak chips and watercress salad, I ended up with rocket instead of the salad which was a little disappointing. The chips were really good. The desert was ok, the pavlova had almost no meringue and the cheeseboard was the most disappointing, being very small, having some old shriveled grapes for £12 and 5 small biscuits and a tiny portion of cheese. The staff attended us well. You have to pay at the bar before you get the food leaving you no recourse. Stick with the starter and mains.
Haven't tried the food but the place has a nice feel. Great garden. If you're passing, take a pause at Ye Olde Beverlie. Doubt you'll regret it.
I haven’t been here in years due to the old covid, but popped in for lunch before picking the kids up from school. Boy, am I glad I did!
I had the guacamole with tortilla chips to start and the grilled cheese lunch burrito. Both very fresh and utterly scrum-diddly-umptious!
Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.
I’ll be back…
Lovely time spent in the beer garden. Staff were friendly and the pub had a great atmosphere. Delicious beer too!
Fantastic food as usual! Glad to see the menu is just as good as it used to be 6-7 years ago when I was here at uni! Fajitas, wings and the ribs are excellent. We've always loved the board games too!
Nice Little place with a decent garden. Bar staff are friendly but food was just ok.
It is a lovely old pub with friendly staff, and good food. It is also dog friendly, hence why it deserves a higher rating. The only reason why I rated it a 4 rather than 5 is due to, two criticisms, it's food menu could be more varied, and there was no non-dairy milk option for tea and coffee.
Only went in for drinks, super friendly staff and great service
This pub offered good food and pleasant service. It was a bitterly cold day but the roaring fire lifted our spirits. The hanging hops added rural charm. Not the Ritz but good pub grub.
A pub with a super good vibe going on. The music is never loud and always seems to have a good tune playing. It's very clean as can be, as far as pubs go and the staff are all smiles, helpful and attentive.
The best thing about this pub will have to be the chiefs and the food they turn out. Honestly, the food is top class. Even a classic pub burger tastes like it's out of an very good restaurant. They've never failed to impress me with the food every time I've gone there.
It's also child friendly and has a good quiet eating area for families if you don't want to eat in the main pub section.
It has a large and nice outside garden that looks to be a great spot for summers.
Even if you only visiting Canterbury for a weekend, Ye Olde Beverlie is a must stop by venue.
Such a lovely local pub with a great atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious - especially the fajitas. It’s also really dog friendly so I can bring my little pup and there are always treats for her - a great touch.
Good food, friendly and welcoming.
Friendly classic pub with great food. Staff were exceptional. Would recommend.
This place is great. Proper grub, well made with decent portions. Lovely staff, good drinks selection. Locals are pleasant too. Garden is huge. Great for a summer day.
