I've stayed here three times while working in Canterbury. My room is always clean. I like the pub , the atmosphere is very relaxed and the food is very good. Free parking, even have an EV charge point ! Breakfast is from the food truck in the car park, no problem in the summer though. The city centre is less than 10 minutes' walk. Review based on the price, I prefer this pub to budget Travelodges and Premier Inns. unless you want to spend over £100 per night, you will not be disappointed here.

Cool pub. Great bar staff. Nice little outside space. Recommend the open mic every Thursday. Some bands at weekends too. I've heard good things about the food, but never tried.

Lovely evening spent with friends in this popular pub. Everyone was very friendly - the added bonus tonight was the fantastic entertainment because every Thursday is 'Open Mic Night' so we enjoyed good music.

Really welcoming! Didn't stay in the rooms just popped in for a drink and some food while in the area but really nice customer service. Great little find

Good location. Room was good. The bed unfortunately too soft for us or else 5 star given. The pub is walking distance from centre and is ideal location with free parking and possible to charge your electric car for a fee

Brilliant staff and food! Only went for a drink and a meal, not a stay, but a wonderful experience!

I can only talk for the pub, not the rooms. Was an unplanned visit, was toad to the Kwik Fit over the road and visited while I waited. Wasn’t expecting much, but the venue is dog friendly, inside and out, staff welcoming, and was surprised by the food. I think the food was better in reality than the images on the signs selling it - normally the other way around. Wasn’t expecting Greek, but was good. It’s not a wine bar, or a trendy micro-brewery, but has character.

Great place to enjoy a cold beverage. Did a 75 minute walk from Canterbury. Servers were friendly and efficient.
