Arrived mid afternoon as a party of 7 and we asked to change our booked table from inside to outside, as the weather was so fabulous. They accommodated us straight away, rearranging outside to suit our party. The quality of service, food and wine was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. Had such a great afternoon this is now my favourite place to eat. Well done Posillipo for a great afternoon of al-fresco Italian awesomeness!! Big fat 5 stars!!!

Wonderful! The starters and main courses are very well prepared and the portions are generous. I had the risotto marinara and the photo shows the dish. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Pizza and focaccia are made to order on the premises. Not cheap but worth every penny for the quality and service.

5-STAR DINNER!! We arrived early after driving from London and came here based of our hotel chef’s recommendation. We’re sitting here now so satiated after an exquisite dinner! Two of us ordered specials of the evening while the third person ordered an amazing ravioli dish. We started first with a trio of bruschetta. We then added garlic focaccia and separate spinach, and green bean sides. Ended with a delicious custard dessert! So different than 99.9% of American marinara based Italian food. Truly Michelin-quality subtleties of flavors!

One of my new favourite places to eat in Canterbury! Me and my partner went for a dinner date, and I can easily say the calimari was the best I've ever had by a long shot. You have to try it! The house white wine was lovely, and both our mains surpassed expectations. Brilliant spot, a must visit!

The best calzone I have had and I have been to many Italian restaurants. The crust was beautiful as cooked in a wood burning oven. The salmon pasta was was fresh and tasty. Nicholas our waiter was very attentive and made for a great atmosphere. Will be coming back with our family for sure

The food is amazing! Best Risotto I’ve ever had. If I come back to the area, I’m definitely coming back to this restaurant. The service was top notch.

What amazing food we had here. We shared bread with olive oil and balsamic then a garlic bread starter Non-husband had a lobster linguine from the specials board and I had chicken escalope with Parma ham and mozzarella in a white wine sauce and an aubergine/tomato side dish. We both had panna cotta with forest fruits for dessert and a bottle of house white. Just under £75 but absolutely worth every penny.

Literally the best pizza that I ever had in my entire life. The staff was very professional, and we received our dinner quite quick. The wine was served perfect. The only thing that I have against the place, that I tried to order a delivery and it was cancelled. It was a shame as I wanted to present the word's best pizza to my friends.

Nice island of real food among the sea of burgers and fish&chips. However had to wait very long time for the check.

Went for a casual Saturday night dinner. Ended up having the works, starters, mains, desserts, wine, dessert wine etc. All of it was fabulous, especially the fish from the specials menu. Fabulous place to eat great Italian cuisine. Bravo!

The best Italian I’ve found in the city. Warm and friendly but classy and classic, I left feeling happy from the inside out! I judge Italian by two criteria 1. It’s gotta be better than what I can do at home for myself and 2. If I can have pasta for appetizer and entree and still feel comfy having a bit of dessert with my espresso it’s a big win! The handmade pasta -hard for carbs to qualify for these adjectives- is light and fresh. With its great food and service, friendly staff and quality value for price, Posillipo is an easy favorite!

Saturday evening last minute booking, nice table by the window. A lot of staff so you are never waiting. Good menu. We had the sharing tapas plate and a pizza. Rose was chilled to perfection. Absolutely no complaints.

Very good food, great service. They were very busy, so we were seated promptly but waited a bit for our food. Beautiful restaurant space and a charming atmosphere. The food was REALLY good. I got a salmon pasta, and my husband got the calzone. We'll definitely come again if we ever make it back to Canterbury.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff . Would be 5* but I found some food just a little bit too salty for me. Octopus was incredibly tender and full of flavour, but a little to salty. Will definitely return.
