Had a great time for a pre birthday lunch blow out for mum’s 70th and we were looked after by a great waitress Amy who looked after us completely and is an asset to the place. The food was all delicious and little celebratory extras added by Amy subtle and welcome. We’ve never been let down by the food and service here, and food highlights too numerous to mention. Many thanks to Amy and all.

How refreshing to be served by smiling staff who actually look like they want to be there! Fabulous wines and food (my fillet steak was cooked to perfection - pink with a delicious Roquefort beure!); all plates served at the same time to 5 of us on a very busy Easter Sunday. I’d highly recommend a visit!

I organised my 30th birthday party here for 15 people and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. We were asked to pre-order for each course and all food selected came out with no issues. The food itself was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a good evening! Will definitely be back in future :-)

I've been to Cote quite a few times and have always been pleased with the food. The staff are very friendly. Pleased that they now have a good Vegetarian menu.

Thank you to the staff at Cote Canterbury for this morning. I booked brunch for part of my best friend's hen weekend and it was so perfect. I have been before, and was impressed with the food and the service. Wasn't let down today. We've had a fab weekend and this morning was such a lovely relaxed start, so thank you for looking after us.

5 of us went for Mothers - it was my first visit here. Alarms were going off every few minutes, the lights went out (not a problem as was daylight). Our starters were delicious, but after around a half hour wait, we were told that they were having problems with gas going on and off, so we were offered complimentary olives. Our mains came within around another 15 minutes and all were excellent. We didn't have time to have desert so asked for this bill. To apologise for the delay in food, we were compensated generously. Although the staff must have been under severe pressure, they kept us informed, were calm, pleasant and professional - well done. I will be returning soon and I hope the proprietors if this business appreciate their staff - thank you.

We had a 2 course lunch which was good value. I had the charcuterie then a seafood linguine, both courses were very tasty. Good lunch time menu course.

Lovely branch of Cote in a beautiful building right on the main street through Canterbury. It's in a little square with a terrace which is perfect for people watching. Busy when we went. The staff were charming and working very hard because it was packed. Simple and delicious french food. Great atmosphere. It's in a buzzing part of town so perfect for a tourist holiday vibe.

Friendly attentive staff with tasty food at a very competitive price. Our server Bradley Lains was very pleasant and a credit to the restaurant. It was 5pm on a Wednesday afternoon when we visited and the restaurant was quiet which contributed to our 4 stars for atmosphere. We had 1 x Fish Parmentier and 1 x Chicken Paillard salad with some truffle fries - both meals were delicious and accompanied by the house wines.

What a brilliant place. Friends and I went there for a Champagne Brunch to celebrate their 1st Wedding Anniversary and the staff could not do enough for them to help them celebrate. The atmosphere, sitting outside watching the world go by while eating a wonderful meal, was amazing and the culmination was when the happy couple were presented with a wonderfully presented dessert platter. I'll be taking others there soon. It was perfect and reasonably priced too. Michaela, our waitress was brilliant and all the staff were very friendly.

A good place to watch the pedestrians walk by. Alin was our server and he was attentive and pleasant. I had the vegetarian platter and it was something I would get again.

We all know that the mid-market restaurant is under a lot of pressure, so a “chain” has to have its values and training just right in order to consistently stand out. Over the last couple of years Cote has really upped its game and is very much our go-to place for a light lunch as we travel around, unless there is a stand out local place. Yesterday we were in Canterbury and, again the service was great and our food ( sea bream and a nicoise salad) was both well prepared and presented on the plate, with a reasonably priced glass of wine to support. The cost is reasonable for what you get - not for the everyday but worth the money for what they offer. The tips go to all the staff I gather. The front of house team were great. A restaurant can’t create an atmosphere on its own, but the buildings have character and are well located, so there tends to be a bit of a buzz. Other great ones include Salisbury , Bath, Oxford and Cambridge. Well worth giving them a go if it’s your sort of thing and well done to them.
