Nice atmosphere, good craft beer, ridiculously large portions of really good food (had the bbq pulled pork burger, my friends had the meat platter). I believe fingerlickinggood is the word.
We come every year for our Christmas shopping day lunch and this is the first year we have had a baby in tow... the staff couldn't be happier to accommodate, couldn't be more polite and fun to chat to or more attentive. Thank you! Food and beer top class as ever. Xx
Excellent range of craft beers and ciders. Great food, very friendly and helpful staff. If you like real ales be sure to give them a visit. Highly recommended.
A hidden gem.
Fantastic beer served by great staff with food to die for and a CAMRA discount !!! Enough said just make sure you visit this pub and enjoy the beer, we will definitely be returning for more. Cheers.
A real ale aficionado's paradise (according to my dad!) Lovely meal & drinks out for Father's Day. Highly recommend the pie taster platter. YUM!
Came here as part of a works xmas meal. Quality food and great service, plus a decent pint, much appreciated!
On holiday in Canterbury this May, found the Foundry in the CAMERA guide and went out of our way to visit on a number of occasions. Really well run operation. Excellent range of real ales and further choices on the cold pump, nearly all brewed on the premises! The Street Light Porter is to die for!
Great selection of food, all sensible pub grub. Try the plate of 3x mini pies with a side of chips that comes with 3x I/3 pint of beers to taste. Pies were local made and packed with meat.
Staff were friendly , helpful, and well trained[happy to give tasters] .As were the two owners
whose enthusiasm gave us a great experience.
You can even get your bottles to take a way.
Hope to see you again guys.
Came here for the first time yesterday. Really lovely venue tucked away just off the high street.
The steak meal was AMAZING as was the BBQ burger and 'home brewed' strawberry cider. Most definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again soon :)
Great food, good selection of craft beers and ciders, superb service from the friendly staff, what's not to like - go there
Great beer and great food - also brilliant (and knowledgeable) bar staff
Great atmosphere. Staff members were great, friendly, knowledgable and fun. Ales were very nice with good choices. Food was really good and tasty too. Large portions were served!! Will definitely be going back. Thank you for a great experience.
Incredible food and beer! Mushroom and Torpedo ale, gorgeous; but the Texas Brisket, wooooow!!!!
Great ale and food! And plenty!!definitely worth a visit
Booked upstairs for a Christening and for food. Was superb food and great service. Could not have been happier. Thanks for a great event and a memorable afternoon.
A quiet time of day when we arrived, just after noon, however most tables were occupied (in the main bar) by the time we left. A beer flight of 5xthird pints, is a good option, if you want a variety of tastes. You choose the beers from their own brews, which are brewed on site. Good selection of alcohol free and low alcohol drinks are available. Food was really tasty and relativity in expensive.
Great venue, great beer, great service.
I didn't stop for food so can't comment on that but the tasters with 5 thirds for £11 are a great way to sample more of the beer. It looks like they have a good selection of gin and other spirits but I didn't get chance to sample any of them.
It is disappointing that dogs are not allowed inside but bar staff are happy to serve at the tables outside so not too much of a problem.
Great Brewery/pub for a meal and a drink. They brew their own beer and ciders and they have a great selection to choose from. IPA, porters or lagers, you name it!
Amazing Sunday roast too and a super friendly staff!
Great classic food excellent home brewed beer and spirits. My favourite was the moonshine. The tour was excellent.
We came to Canterbury with a family member that lives nearby and were looking for a place to eat after walking we found the Foundry where we saw the menu and instantly agreed I had a the foundry burger and chips it was fantastic. For dessert I picked the best chocolate brownie with ice cream and it was amazing. Our experience was made better with our waitress who I unfortunately forgot their name she had blonde hair and glasses and was really upbeat. Thank you for a great meal
What a fantastic pub/brewery. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. This place is definitely worth a visit. They also offer Brewery tours as well a great food and a lovey atmosphere.

We took part in the tour (definitely worth it) which was a great experience and added a lot to the experience. After we decided to try as many beers as possible via their tasting paddle offer.
Great beer, friendly people, food that hits the spot!
Very helpful and friendly staff, great locally brewed beers (that you can try as a taster of 5), excellent steak & ale pie.
Stunning venue, great menu, awesome friendly service. Food was brilliant and their selection of in house beers and spirits were well worth it!
Great food and lots of beers on tap. Child friendly. Very friendly and quick service! Great selection of local gins.
