My friend found this place and asked for a table ahead of the rugby. The staff were so accommodating & lovely - it felt like it was our local rather than a new place to visit. The menu is small & perfectly formed. We were really impressed with the flavours & quality of food. Definitely recommended!

I ate here twice and had a very good experience. The food is great (try anything with mushrooms!) for reasonable prices, they have a lot of beers and ciders and the waitresses are kind and attentive. Also good to know: this place is super family friendly! The mixed/baby bathroom even had wet wipes. Also a really great atmosphere. Classic bar with people of all ages. The garden was also ideal for our toddler to play around with other toddlers. Everyone was also very welcoming to us as tourists, while there definitely is a very "local" feeling.

Beautiful little pub a real gem in Canterbury. I've recently made the poor decision to go alcohol free and but miss a pint and this place does lucky saint on draft so I'm very happy about that. Haven't tried the food yet but will do soon it looks great. Service always polite and quick

What can I say, amazing food, lovely sized portions in a Vegan restaurant for once!!!!!!! First Vegan restaurant that does ‘pub-food’ right. Service and ambiance were great and the menu (see pictures) was fantastic. They were out of red wine after a festival but that was fine. I will change this rating to a 5 star one when they remove themselves from Gourmet Society after I couldn’t use my card and get 25% off. Apparently this is because of the last owner and they are having trouble coming off the list. Of course they could instead just join GS and that way more people can use the service and make savings!!! OMG the ‘Monumental’ burger is aptly names and just fantastic 😁

Canterbury has many public houses, however, most of them belong to the local brewer Shepherd Neame. It is refreshing to find a Free House which is warm and welcoming and serves good food and a different range of beers. The beer is well kept and the food of good quality. It's also dog friendly, even though I don't have a dog 😂. Visited on a Sunday and the pub was busy. The piped music is fine when there are a few guests, however, with too many people, the music gets turned up and the conversation gets very loud, which can be quite overpowering. This doesn't mean it's raucous, however, I would not recommend coming here for a quiet drink when there are too many people. Just my preference 😎

This is a must-visit for your visit to Canterbury. A short walk from the station just outside the city walls, the variety of vegan junk food is amazing, and every meal we tried impressed. They also do a range of desserts, vegan beers and cocktails, including veganised versions of a White Russian and Bloody Mary. The staff are friendly and helpful and interior is cosy and clean with a great big beer garden outside.

Service and atmosphere were lovely. Menu isn't very extensive so found it difficult to find something to eat. I had the harissa burger but found it a bit overpowering. My husband had the lamb chops and enjoyed them.

Great pub! Great food, drinks and staff! I had been to this pub before for bands, and had a great time, this time however we went for food. Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. First of I'm not vegan but my girlfriend is and I can safely say that I did not miss a thing! Amazing taste (presentation could have been better) but all round really good food. The staff have a friendly and solid rapport. The bar tender makes a great Cuban! Would recommend to all!

A fantasticly stylish place which retains the pub like feel. A great selection of ales, really love the Hofmeister Weiss beer. Great food, starters were excellent, the chilli is the tastes I have ever had (the mains did not last long enough to have a picture taken). A must visit Canterbury pub.

Was walking by after going out for dinner in Canterbury Saturday night and it looked so inviting we just couldn't resist. Beautiful decor and very cosy atmosphere. Have never been before but will certainly be returning!

We went to the Monument for lunch today and loved it. As a coeliac, I could eat most things on the menu and the allergens menu on the back was really clear. I felt really confident to eat here. The food was great - I had falafel to start and veggie tagine with rice for my main. Both were delicious! The drinks options are fab and there was even had gluten free beer. My partner had the lamb burger and loved it. He loved that the the dishes are homemade, produce is local and has great flavour. We'll definitely be back :)

A super friendly pub with beautiful interiors and a cosy garden outside. A well curated range of wines & drinks (alcohol free too) and options for vegetarians. A laid back ambience, well suited for groups, couples or solo- I have been as all three and have had an equally good experience. Will be back!

Its great to find somewhere with a all vegan menu. Plenty of food options available from pie and mash to burger. The service was good and the food was delicious. Just a short walk from the city centre. Would recommend. Edit: the new menu is fantastic

Canterbury's only vegan pub. Incredibly welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting with lots of different seating options. On the menu: lots of choices: burgers, donairs, mac and cheese and loaded fries. Also nice to be able to order any drink or ale with no worries that they contain products unsuitable for vegans. We chatted with a friendly and interesting student who really made our night. We're sure to return to this pub the next time we are in Canterbury, as long as it remains vegan, which we very much hope it does!

Great vegan food with a great atmosphere. Friendly staff with quick service. I've been a few times and enjoyed everytime, the only disappointments I have are there seems to always be a few things you can't order from the menu, although there is plenty of choice to make up for this. It's lovely when the sun is shining as you can choose to sit outside in the beer garden. Food is good quality and you get plenty for your money, I just wish there was more seating as it does get busy due to how good it is!

Hands down... one of the better all-vegan junk food and street food places we've eaten at in England, including many in London. We started with the vegan hand pulled(cask) Red IPA to drink (pictured) and an appetizer of Korean spicy wings with vegan blue cheese (already scarfed down due to their deliciousness). Entrees were the Dirty Dog--a tasty thick dog with seitan doner and chili sauce and cheese-- and the Gyro--seitan doner, vegan tzatziki and salad rolled into a huge homemade flatbread. The session handed pulled pale IPA fabulous too. The desert menu looked awesome but we couldn't find room after the large and filling entrees, so it's on the list for next time.

Went there on our visit to Canterbury when we were looking for a pet friendly place. The starters where lovely but personally I was truly amazed with the fries with parmesan that was recommended by the girl behind the bar who was also very friendly. The burger that I ordered was amazing. My mum wasn’t very happy with her veggie option as it was a little bit much curry which wasn’t specified on the menu. Overall it was a good time and if we ever go back to the city we will come again to this pub.
