We went to celebrate my dads 80th birthday and we were a party if 10. I have to say we had a great time . We all got our food at the same time which was lovely and we all got what we asked for . We took a birthday cake which the staff brought out at the end of our meal and allowed us to cut it and even provided the plates for us . They were absolutely lovely . Great food , great service , we had a fantastic evening . Would recommend it and won't hesitate to go back . Thank you

Only started coming here 2 weeks ago , been here midweek food lovely , came here for Sunday dinner ( prebooked) and the roast beef dinner was excellent , very tasty and beef was delicious , booked again for sunday dinner and was excellent, shame there is bad reviews on here because food is great , admittedly they need more staff as service is a bit slow , but hey were all human and they can't predict the flow of customers in any business , overall food 10/10 . Staff stretched so 7/10
Took my family their today for Sunday lunch couldnβt fault the food in anyway it was amazing staff were friendly and very attentive lovely pub with a great ambience will definitely be visiting again

The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We were there for a birthday meal. The food was cooked to how we wanted it as 2 of us had steaks. Very good menu and there was something on it for everyone. It was topped off by the staff putting a candle in the dessert for the person who's birthday it was. Would happily go back at any time
Staff were friendly and helpful and quite capable of looking after our party of 18. The food was very nice and everyone was served together and with no problem. The table service was quick and efficient but we weren't hurried at all. We were a wedding party so appreciated the extra touches - thank you Becky and Abi
I visited today with my boyfriend and dog and we had the loveliest time! We had a lovely table out of the way with plenty of room for the dog, the food was amazing, there was even a doggy menu which I was really impressed with. Service was great, the dogs sausage even arrived cut up and not too warm so it was ready to eat. We will definitely be back!
Lovely traditional pub. Well laid out so it felt cozy. Nice to see drinkers at the bar. Staff were excellent. Didn't wait long at the bar for service. Everyone was smiley. Table check back after starters and mains happened within minutes of getting our food. Food was hot and well presented. Great value for money. Constant stream of people through the door. Very, very good. Well done to everyone

The staff are all and always friendly and polite and go out if their way to make things perfect for you. I have eaten here many times and food is always lovely. I must say,with regret, the last 2 times I have ordered a steak it has been overdone.I have mine medium and my partner medium rare, on both occasions they have been well done.I didnβt complain though I just took it as it was as not to cause a fuss for staff. That is my only criticism, other than that we love bringing our family here to eat π
everyone was so helpful! it looked like there was a funeral party there so the staff went out of their way to make sure we weren't waiting for service. Everyone kept looking in on us too which makes you feel special. Food great as usual, just a pointer, need slightly more tartare sauce dishes!
Went here with my family for a catch up. Friendly, attentive staff, even when they were busy. The food is nicely cooked and the portions are excellent. Will definitely go again

Booked in today by friends and wow things have changed. Car park full plenty of staff and the best burger I've had in a long time!

When we arrived the place was very busy but we were taken care of and shown to our table. The menu was varied and we we not rushed to order. The food arrived and the quality was excellent and hot. The staff checked that everything was fine and kept the table clear of used glasses etc. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends I will be visiting again in the near future.
Restaurant was quiet so easily seated on cosy raised area. Staff were attentive and helpful. Meal arrived in very reasonable time and was well cooked to our requirements. My partner requested a change to some of the items and this handled without fuss. Good value menu and overall a very good experience. Will visit again in near future.
Everything was great! The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great! It literally took minutes to receive the food when normally you can wait upto 45 minutes to an hour. Overall, very very impressed and will 100% be going back sometime in the future.
We had an absolutely brilliant meal here today for Mother's Day. We booked in advance and got one of the last slots available. My steak was cooked to perfection and the choc fudge cake was just how I like it. Staff were keen to ask if there was anything that they could do to help us. Would definitely visit again.
We celebrated a family birthday here with 10 people, we booked in advance online with no trouble, we arrived 10min late but that wasnβt a problem and we were welcomed in & taken to our table, itβs usually bar/phone service but due to our party the bar staff said they would wait our table which was fantastic. I didnβt intend to book the meal on quiz night but it turned into lots of fun. The food was fantastic, best chicken burger ever! All the staff ensured we were happy & had everything we needed , they were all so friendly. We had a fantastic evening & we ended up winning the quiz too :-) happy days
We did stop going many years before lockdown, when it was 2 for 1. Some meals were still frozen, or cold. Our experience this time was great. Lovely food. Party of 6, all had different meals and we all enjoyed them. Would definitely go back again and recommend to others. I'm not a dessert person anymore, but it was limited. I don't think anyone had one. I was full anyway, after a starter and main. Overall we all enjoyed our time at Newhall Farm. Well done π

The hunters chicken from the gf menu wasn't presented very nicely, quite a small portion.
The pie dinners were presented lovely but still quite small portion wise. The curry was better portion wise and presented well.
