I've been exploring coffee shops in Cambridge industriously and this one is by far one of my favourite ones, only comparable to Dom's coffee maybe. I absolutely love how tiny it is - no space for rowdy crowds of tourists or families with 10 unruly children yelling at the top of their lungs. This place is always dominated by a peaceful atmosphere, with 3-4 patrons present at most, and a nice people-watching spot by the window. Lovely homemade tiramisu, too.
Had a sandwich and some pastries, the pistachio croissant was buttery and soft with a rich filling, doughnuts was light, fluffy and filled with a perfectly tart apricot jam. Coffee left a bit to be desired as the flat white separated after a few sips
I couldn't pick a better covert from the rain.
I was very pleased with the warm welcoming and the gentle manners of the staff.
I was recommended to try the Mimosa cake (Modigliani cake) which is a cake that Italians bake to celebrate international women's day.
I was surprised with its taste and delicate texture and I strongly recommend this cake if you have the chance.
The Cannelloni and doughnut were really good and every other option were very tentative too.
Surprising place for some next level decadent pastries!. Had a pistachio eclair that was obscenely good and the last time we visited we had an impressive chocolate strawberry pastry as well. Will definitely come again for the sweet treats
Lively cosy Italian cafe offering a decent range of homemade stuff. We enjoyed the strawberry filled croissants. It’s a shame they don’t stock much of gluten free ones. Decently priced and good customer service.
We ordered some trays of tiramisu for our wedding day and it was one of our best decisions! Tastiest tiramisu in town!
One of the best Tiramisus I’ve ever had!
So moist, so fluffy, and so rich in flavor.
Love it especially because the ladyfingers are completely soaked and “melted” in espresso and mascarpone :D (although personally I’d prefer even subtler sweetness, this one goes well with coffee as a morning treat.) Definitely worth the 50-min walk.
Delicious saltimbocca with salami, smoked mozzarella and some vegetables. Tried the tart with cheesecake, vanilla cream and strawberry, which is good as well! Friendly staff recommended the saltimbocca to me since I was looking for savory/ less sweet food. Had a nice time and able to find a table on a Sunday afternoon 😃
This is a hidden gem just outside of the central attraction. The atmosphere of the place was cosy and calming. The pastries from here are just heavenly. I thought the strawberry tart was so wonderful. The base was dark chocolate but the sweetness from the cream just complements each other which is neither too bitter or too sweet. The pistachio croissant was also lovely when compared to "Aromi"' which was also good but too sweet.
My friend recommended this place for a tiramisu, so I had to visit. It is now my absolute favourite café in Cambridge! Hands down best iced tea in Cambridge, and the pistachio filling in the cornetto (croissant-adjacent pastry) is so delicious.
