Great place to eat and fantastic service !! I recommend that !
My favourite Chinese restaurant ever! The dumplings are incredible and so are the other traditional authentic dishes! Recommend this place to everyone :)
We had veggie noodle soup and it was delicious (and great fun to put together)
Wow what an awesome and unique experience! A modern pub restaurant atmosphere at the front giving way to a lovely dining area serving some of the most authentic, Yunnan region Chinese food you can find. My Chinese wife was incredibly surprised to see some of these dishes outside of China and they exceeded her very high expectations. Home made dumplings are worth every penny as I know how much effort goes into making these and it reflects in their taste.
Fresh ingredients, freshly made noodles and dumplings. Friendly, attentive customer service. What's not to like? My wife is already making plans to return, despite us living 200+ miles away.
I have found The Dumpling Tree to always be hearty and satisfying. The tofu and green bean dumplings are always a delicious treat. I feel like the dumpling dough is often on the thicker side which adds a nice chew that I enjoy.
The price has crept up a lot and even with the high quality of the food, it doesn't seem as great value as similar places, so I'm much less likely to drop in regularly.
The ambience was great and the food was awesome. Most authentic Syrian Arab food in the town. It's a must go place.
We went to The Dumpling Tree restaurant for the first time tonight and wow! We really enjoyed the food - vegetable spring rolls, mixed fried dumplings and the aromatic duck. The food was served warm was só delicious! I highly recommend the fiery chicken wings starter- crunchy and flavourful! Their mocktails are delightful. Our server Charlie was attentive and friendly.
We will definitely be coming back!
Not too bad. I had the Mapo Tofu and the Cucumber Salad. Can highly recommend both (if you can handle spice) but pretty pricey for a mediocre meal. Service was also quite slow. Can get much better for the same price elsewhere.
We visited The Dumpling Tree with the Cambridge Deaf Association, I got a taxi here from Corby but getting back we got dropped off at Peterborough and then made our way back home. The food here was good, it was hot and fresh and I liked that we all could try something different than what we'd normally order the staff here was wonderful in making sure we were all satisfied. My partner and I came in here first and had a drink of Coca-Cola and it was nice but I do have to admit the music choice of Britney Spears was not expected in a Chinese restaurant like this but it got a giggle out of us. Thank you for having us, we had a lovely time and look forward to visiting again shortly.
The food are superb and the atmosphere was clean. I will definitely try the other menus. Though I get charge from the parking more than the cost of the food that we ate. However, the restaurant was very helpful in assisting me to sort out with the smart parking. Thank you for sorting it out in a very friendly way it was highly appreciated.
Ate here for the first time tonight. Service was amazing and so was the good. Will definitely come back again and recommend to friends and family x
I have driven past this place so many times and have been wanting to go for ages. So glad I finally did. The food is lovely. Not too crowded but definitely has the room for more. The staff were very welcoming and the right amount of attentiveness.
My only problem is the distance from our house. 😆
We also found a table with board games, suggestive of a great afternoon with coffee.
A must-try pub-style Chinese/Yunanese restaurant in Cambridge. So different from the crowed and greasy Chinese diners. Great service and great food - the Cross bridge rice noodle is the best!
Delicious Chinese cuisine, I had the Cross the Bridge rice noodles which is their signature dish. The noodles are made fresh every day and you actually construct the dish yourself, currently there is nothing else like this in Cambridge especially one that serves fresh noodles. They have really warm staff and the atmosphere is cozy.
The food is good but a little pricey after application of 12.5% service charge. The service is good and the manager does come around to check if everything is ok. Just remember to register your car on the online pad inside of the restaurant and you will not get a parking ticket.
Great Chinese restaurant in an English pub. Great service and the food is fantastic
Amazing food
Friendly service
And a generally nice and friendly atmosphere. Left feeling full and knowing we wouldn’t be hungry again that evening
Special touch that they have an array of board games that you are encouraged to take to your table
Our first visit and it was a great experience overall. The service was particularly attentive and excellent. The only thing I would really hope they'd improve upon/rectify are the descriptions of the dishes on the menu. It needs to be more accurate and better. For example, rice cake (?) not flakes, the mini "buns" have the texture of dumplings not like of char siu buns which was what my friend was hoping for; the ham bun certainly has peanuts but there's no peanut sign next to it as an alert. One of us is allergic but thankfully she didn't order it or shared. Still, I do think we'd come back and would recommend this place.
The best Chinese restaurant!! Food like I have never tasted before. I can’t reccomended this place enough!
