Next comes the parade of sushi dishes, served with the obligatory wasabi and ginger in a little bowl. I can never resist the temaki, which is a cone-shaped hand roll with nori (seaweed) wrapped around rice and a choice of fillings. We particularly like the salmon and tuna at Japas so we usually choose this plus a vegetable such as avocado or cucumber. This time we had the Salmon & Avocado Temaki and Spicy Tuna & Cucumber Temaki. The nori is always fresh and crisp, not soggy.
Blown away by the quality of the food here, amazing. Don't let the exterior of the building put you off this is a true hidden gem on the edge of the city centre. It's also like a TARDIS inside.
All the meals (vegetarian and normal dishes)were perfectly cooked and presented, the chef is excellent. We also tried out first sparkling Sake. Good range of Japanese and far Eastern dishes for everyones palate. A very enjoyable lunch.

Food was pretty good - the Donburi was tasty with the rice bowl being a good size and friend fish and vegetables also a good portion, and the service was quick and friendly.
The Rice cake desert is next level though! Best Mochi I’ve had in a long time!

Quiet unassuming frontage on Brookside near Lensfield road.
Interior is not unlike any unassuming quiet calm Japanese artisan place in Osaka or Tokyo etc.
Extensive menu. I could be eating here weekly for a year and still not covered all of its dishes, especially the sushi and sashimi section. Chinese influence on some Menu items.
For lunch we had soft shell crabs, the sushi & sashimi bento box, and pork belly ramen in miso stock.
None disappointed.
Soft shell crab was lovely tempura fried. Not greasy. Tasty on a bed of salad.
Bento box was super generous. Rice on the sushi was just right in texture and temperature.
Ramen with pork belly… delightful.
This explains why during my time there, the Deliveroo and adjust Eat orders were coming thick and fast!

Saw this small restaurant on the corner, gave it a shot and glad I did, the food was outstanding, service was really fast and friendly staff, definitely recommend if you're into sushi, and if you're not give it a go!
Love this Japanese restaurant. It has quite a big menu but some things are better than others. The sushi was excellent. Very tasty and fresh tasting. Everything was high quality.
The ramen was a bit disappointing. Soggy overcooked noodle and broth was lacking flavour. The belly pork was however amazing.
In all I would recommend this place for the sushi. The ramen wasn’t great. It would be nice to see lunch sets in the future to give the opportunity to try some of the key items.
The best sushi I had so far. The place is clean and very welcoming. We tried many things from the menu and all of them were great! I really enjoyed my time here and would like to return. I definitely recommend it!
We ordered online and I had a Jo Set which was eight pieces of assorted nigiri and twelve pieces of hosomaki and this was perfect for me to have and it filled me up. It tasted very fresh and I liked that the wasabi came too, it's always good to have that with the sushi! The food arrived quickly and if I am in the area again, I'll order my sushi from here. Good value too!

A hidden gem, excellently cooked and presented food, the chef is amazing for the quality and variety of food on the menu, all cooked to perfection, this is our new Cambridge lunch venue.

We had a takeaway so can't comment on service or atmosphere. Good veggie options and a true selection of fish rather than the mass produced salmon and tuna offerings in lots of places. Quality is good, our food was ready to pick up on time, a great little place.
Great place! Really good food, excellent service and relaxed atmosphere (cosy but not noisy). The Prawn tempura were a highlight
