I really had a nice experience here. The atmosphere was very familiar and had nice elements like candles on the table which were nicely spaced out so it didnt feel crowded. The folks there were very polite and helpful and the meal was paced nicely. I had the onion soup and the fish and chips with dessert and bourbon then circled back after a nice conversation with a couple next door for another appetizer and dessert. Everything was very nicely done. I would recommend this place and look forward to going back.
Beautifully decorated restaurant with lovely ambient lighting, looked bustling for lunch service but when we arrived for dinner service we were practically the only diners. This was at 8pm on an otherwise busy Easter bank holiday weekend (Saturday).
Although the atmosphere could have been improved with other diners. The food options were varied, with a decent drink selection to match, and once selected the food was very pleasant. Happy with the main course, the desert, a sticking toffee pud and chocolate cake could have been more refined. Would have preferred the pudding and sauce to have some warmth to it.
The waiting staff were attentive, but a little lacking in knowledge as to what food options were available. Not disappointed with the meal, but probably wouldn't rush to make a return visit for a similar dinner experience.
To be honest, this place really surprised my wife and I. We'd passed by numerous times before and always though it looked cute, but its reviews were only decent, so we weren't sure what to expect. We came on a date night. We're both veggie, so we had the truffle pizza and goat cheese salad. WOW! Both were seriously delicious -- fantastic flavor which I haven't found at other good pizzas spots around town. Overall vibe was very pleasant as well. With drinks, came about to about 50 quid, about what I'd expect. Bravo!
Had lunch in the sunny courtyard today.
Just 5 minutes from the market square but so peaceful.
The fixed price menu was just £14. 95 for 2 courses and the portions were really generous.
The food was delicious and a good selection as well.
Great service by Josh, and we hope to go back to try the rooftop terrace one evening.
A great find!
One of the best places to eat in the City centre. Scored top marks in quality and quantity of food, value for money and service. Fix priced menu is excellent.
A fab meal with excellent friendly service. Location is great, set a minutes walk away from the main shopping street (behind Waterstones) so you feel away from the ‘rush’.
Hanger steak beautifully seasoned and the salad with pine nuts and even blueberries was delicious. Pork belly had great crackling. Everything was tasty.
Has a good children’s menu too. Currently doing 1/3 off food Mon-Weds during September but full price would still have been reasonable.
Nicely laid out with a quirky but relaxed style. Thoroughly recommend. Photos of food posted on another post !
Delicious food, very nice staff and great atmosphere! The staff were very friendly but also professional when it came to being Covid safe. The new outdoor seating area was lovely, felt very safe and cosy, and the food was delicious too! I'd definitely recommend the duck dumplings starter, one of the most delicious starters I've had in a long time!
This place is amazing!! The varied menu is perfect and the drinks are great. The atmosphere inside is lovely and deserves to be at full capacity at all times!
Fantastic dinner and drinks.
Had been searching for a restaurant for a while everyone said no. Stolen had tables a bit later so we were welcomed upstairs to the bar. The bar tender helped a member of my party by making a bispoke moctail and it was fantastic. He also built a bispoke cocktail for us. Fantastic environment and atmosphere.
We went down to eat and the staff accommodated us with great smiles. We ordered a large amount of food and a few more drinks. The food was great!
No complaints.
Would definitely go again and. Suggest to anyone looking for a great meal!
Very friendly waiter and fantastic steak! Also very cosy inside.
Took some relatives out for a taste of Cambridge. Excellent range of dishes which were very tasty. Great service and not busy allowing us to chat and take our time!
Just had a private 40th birthday in the upstairs, the barmaid was brilliant and they left us to enjoy until the very last minute and even made sure all left okay. Nothing was too much very impressed and would do it again.
Interesting and strange place. Not sure about specific environment, restaurant style, but everything else was very good 👍
Food pricy but delicious and worthy! Have a lot to chose from drinks menu, but sadly not everything available too. Overall happy with interesting, unusual food choices so will be back again 🤓🙌
Stolen doesn't have a huge menu, but they definitely nail the dishes they commit to. The Stolen Doughs (pizzas for you and me) are unexpected at least with uncommon combination of toppings and end up surprising you for how good they are.
We were a bit disappointed about the portion size of one of the starters, the spinach croquetts, £7 for 2 croquettes? A bit lacking... Won't be a problem if you're having a Dough later but, we were 5 at the table, how can we share that?
Amazing place for food with amazing vibes. It’s held dear in my heart. As long as I live in Cambridge this will be my favourite spot
Nice atmosphere. 5 star on appetizer. Great service
Great sourdough food.
Went here for lunch today and had great sourdough 'pizzas' 14" long and interesting toppings: duck and hosin sauce then gruyere and sausage. Also really tasty side salad and mango homemade lemonade.
Quirky interior and electro, swing jazz background music. Service was really good by friendly waitresses.
The only restaurant I've ever been to where they present you the bill inside a book! This happened to be Teach Yourself Chess, a book I've had at home for 50 years!
Highly recommended.
