Had lunch at this traditional cafe hoping to try the famous “Chelsea Bun”. The cafe has a very nice window display showing off their best pastries and inside there was a counter with lots of cakes displaying for takeaway. I was seated pretty quickly when I went at midday considering this is a well known cafe spot. We picked Egg Florentine and Chelsea Bun French toast with whipped Greek yoghurt and berries. The Egg Florentine is as expected and the Chelsea Bun French toast is nice but i would think it is actually very similar to cinnamon bun. The service and the seating is comfortable so will be a good spot to drop by for a lunch / tea in Cambridge, would love to try its scones next time though!

Came for the famous Chelsea buns and some coffee. The place itself was quite busy due to its popularity, so we had to wait for a table to be available. However, this wasn't long. The staff is very attentive and friendly, but it gets quite crowded most days, so I would suggest getting a take away if possible. The drinks and the Chelsea bun were very good, and I would overall recommend visiting for the experience.

Breakfast was delicious, only waited 5 minutes to be seated. Did have to ask for cutlery and remind that the syrup for the pancakes was missing, however, staff were very pleasant. Tables were quite tightly packed, so at one point it felt like I was actually dining with others, so not somewhere to go if you desire privacy! Very enjoyable and picked some Chelsea Buns for this afternoon.

Ideal for a coffee run or a place to have an afternoon snack. I tried the ‘famous’ Chelsea Buns and thought it was just okay; I’m not sure if I’d try this again, but there are other bun flavours, and when it’s not that busy (it gets a big crowd) I can probably go back and try.

Not many places can be that busy and have such good service and excellent managing of the stressful fast paced environment. While being there, they didn’t stop being extra busy and people queuing outside. Everything came really quickly, everything tasted amazing, and all at an excellent price! Thank you Team!!! You are awesome!

I had to try a chelsea bun ice cream while I was in Cambridge. It was lovely. Staff were okay. They were more concerned with chatting with each other than serving but they weren’t really rude, just not exactly welcoming either. It didn’t matter much since I just wanted the ice cream.

Amazing tea house for a brunch or a short tea cake. Seems to be an institution of the city. Pie of the day and Turkish eggs were amazing.

We had an amazing experience at this brunch place in Cambridge! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which was especially appreciated as we had a larger group. The food was simply unbelievable, and the portions were very generous, leaving us completely satisfied. Despite being very busy and lively, the wait staff remained attentive and made sure we had a great time. I highly recommend this place for a fantastic brunch outing!

Came here during my first visit to Cambridge with the fam and have to say id deffo recommend. The food and drinks were amazing and had to come back again to try their Chelsea buns and salted caramel and chocolate buns, both did not disappoint (would recommend going early before they sell out). All the staff were soo lovely especially Afonso who's singing made my day :)

Came here for a simple tea and cake, we weren't disappointed by the food, coffee could have been better though. A lovely place to come, staff were friendly and accommodating even though they did forget half of our order - they were quite busy. I had the chocolate brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce, was an extremely large portion, the brownie was cold though and I was hoping it would be hot...but can't have everything. Generally happy overall.

The ultra-sticky Chelsea buns are worth the visit! We were advised by friends purchase a box of 4; two to eat immediately and two to eat later (as we’d be full of regret once we left Cambridge that we couldn’t have another!). We took a take away due to having our kids with us and it being pretty busy inside, however, the buns travelled well and were delicious. A real Cambridge institution and worth stopping by.

Beautiful atmosphere and lovely food! Enjoyed the Chelsea buns very much 😁 Prices on the higher side since it’s in Cambridge, but great for brunch!

We had afternoon tea here as well as some other meal items! We waited in line for around 20-30 minutes as there was no way to reserve or put our names down. TBH I didn’t love the chelsea bun that we got (a bit dry and too sweet) but everything else was wonderful! The afternoon tea was lovely, we just got one set for three of us along with a pot of tea. The scones were the best part, really soft and buttery and just delicious with the clotted cream. We also had a savory tart that was sort of quiche-esque, nice flavor and came with some fresh salad. The vegetarian full english breakfast was also good, we enjoyed the halloumi that came with it instead of meats.

4-17-2023 Grab and go – The famous sticky Chelsea buns with coffee (Cappuccino) and a macaroon. The Buns were a little drier compared to the cinnamon buns we have in the US (negative), but less sweet (positive). Had to try the legendary buns, but my favorite was the pistachio macaroon.

I didn’t realise there was a bigger restaurant on the other side, I walked into the bakery side. Ordered a cheese toastie on sour dough bread, a Chelsea bun and tea. If you want anything else to eat I would go to the other restaurant. Toastie was good, the Chelsea bun was ok but gone hard around the edges as I went around 1:30.
