Fabulous coffee, smoothies, and baked goods. Didn't try the sandwiches, but also looked good. V Close to the mill lane punting and very nice owner

I love this place! The best independent cafe in Cambridge, in my opinion. Also the best iced mochas and iced lattes by a long shot. Great customer service, great atmosphere, great drinks. The guy who runs the place is always so friendly and welcoming, which I think is a big part of what makes it such a lovely place to visit.

One of my favorite places in Cambridge. Great coffee, food, and the best service around. Made Cambridge feel like home. Safe for my celiac disease (gluten free options)

Nice cafe in the center of Cambridge University. It’s quite pleasant and quiet, despite being close to a big street, and their coffee was pretty good (and strong!). The service was friendly and fast. It’s quite small though, so don’t count on finding space for large groups.

Good place for a take-away coffee. Fast service. I also like to stop and sit down when I have time. Good coffee, Mocha's great and cakes and food are fresh (nothing with the same shelf life as Buck Rodgers)

Espresso Lane has some of the best coffee and best vibes in Cambridge. Engin treats everyone like family, whether you're a regular or visiting for the first time. I highly recommend a visit if you want a taste of the real Cambridge. So, enjoy the delicious coffee and toasties. Strike up a conversation with the professor at the next table. Sit outside and look at the flowers blooming in the churchyard across the street.

We love Espresso Lane - it's our destination coffee stop in Cambridge. Lovely locally roasted Butterworth's coffee, an excellent selection of cakes and toasties all served in a welcoming and friendly owner. The guy who runs Espresso Lane is awesome and always so welcoming.

This is my 'local' when I'm in Cambridge, so I've been here dozens of times. It's not just the coffee - which is well made, always - and it's not just the food - which is tasty and original, not pre-packed. It's the atmosphere of welcoming, the sense of a good place to take a well needed break. It's small. Tiny, really. Sometimes the best places are like that. But there's a seat or two outside, a view of the church, and good company to be had, even if you're not in a chatty mood. And if it's full, come back later. You'll be glad you did.
