Definitely recommend this place is amazing! Sunday lunch carvery was so tasty and great for the price the quality was outstanding and most of all the staff was so warm and friendly. Definitely be back again very soon with family .
Very nice. Danielle looked after us and the pub catered for me as a vegan. Very friendly staff and a lovely roast dinner. Would go back.
Great Sunday Carvery. We've eaten here on a weekday in the past, but decided to book for Sunday lunch after a foreign holiday to get some great British food. It certainly did not disappoint. Generous portions of carvery meats, trimmings and a choice of 7 vegetables in addition to scrumptious roast potatoes. As much gravy as you like. We'll definitely be back!
Return visits are often a disappointment but ours certainly wasn't. The staff were friendly, attentive and worked well together. Our steaks were cooked exactly as we requested. The large garden well equipped for families and parking is good for the largest of vehicles. Behind the site is a small (30ish) camp site beside the river cam and we used that so we could enjoy a bottle of wine and not worry about driving.
Situated on the A38 right next to a good local, small campsite.
There is good off road parking here.
They have a good outside eating area with plenty of tablets available.
It can like most popular pubs with a garden area get very busy if the weather is good.
The menu isn't bad at all and there are always good choices on the specials list.
The staff are welcoming and friendly too.
If a mistake is made on an order (it's easily done) it's rectified immediately with sincere apologies.
The best carvery ever! All the food was fresh and hot. Roast potatoes were amazing, compliments to the chef! Staff were lovely and the environment was nice. All very delicious 😋
There were 4 of us and we each had a meal. There were no complaints at all, I had the curry which I can highly recommend. The only reason it is not 5 stars is that in my opinion the price, which was just over £15 a meal. I appreciate businesses need to make a profit, this is just a personal comment. The staff were excellent with plenty of space and dogs welcome.
Our 1st visit to the George, a great setting, and we had our dog with us too.

Very tasty, superb food, excellent prices.
The mediterranean pie was fabulous every bite including the pastry (unusual to find good pastry). The chips were crisp while light and didn't need any sauce with them.
A range of ciders available including a Henry Weston's cask cider which was exceptional.
I would definitely recommend and would return if in the area again.
I took my kids camping to this wonderful location in the Easter Holidays. The site is lovely with all the facilities you need. We had a meal in The George Inn on our last night. The service was brilliant and the food was divine and not expensive. I would recommend this camping site and pub to anyone. We would definitely return.
