After running here and there in Cambridge, I just wanted to sit down and have a nice comfy lunch - this place provided me just that!
We ordered a veg calzone and spaghetti with mushroom sauce - both hit the right taste buds!
Definitely worth a 'first' visit..
Affordable Italian food in Cambridge. The food is also really fresh and good! Personally felt that the carbonara tasted yummy. Other dishes that we tried were definitely a treat as well. The seating is mostly underground, on a lower level, and the kitchen it on the ground floor.
Had a delicious full English breakfast here this morning. We sat outside in the morning sun. The coffee was very good, and the food was well cooked. I'll definitely be back! Thank you 😊
6 of us went for lunch, quick and very polite service. Food came out looked great and tasted great! My husband had the calzone and it was impressive! Packed with filling! My pizza tasted beautiful with a crispy Italian base. Our friends had a mix of pizza and pasta and they all really enjoyed what they had. We all had a dessert too! It was also the perfect location to sit out right on the corner of market square. They even had little heaters for when the sun popped behind the clouds! We will definitely come back soon!
Attended as a group of 4. Seated promptly, drinks and food order taken, plus my pizza was delicious. Staff were polite and efficient. This place is consistently good and most likely why my parents go there once a week for breakfast without fail.
Being Spanish, I really appreciate Italian food. Me and my family enjoyed a good lunch after a few drinks and we really liked it. To top it all, the kindness shown by the staff towards clients (a piece of cloth was brought to one of them to keep her warm) is something that really makes it stand out. Great views of St. Mary's as well! Overall, a great place, recommended.
A very interesting little place that I have returned to several times. There is plenty of seating outdoors opposite the market as well as downstairs in their cosy basement. The ceilings are a little low, so mind your head as you walk around if you are tall! A little cramped but with a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend their breakfast, probably the best I have tried in Cambridge. They also have a great lunch offer, perfect to grab something tasty and get off your feet

Yesterday and by chance my Girlfriend and I stumbled upon this quaint Restaurant and felt very luck that the previous place we'd popped into were out of seating which meant a 20 minutes wait in the cold; with two kids, that was not going to be an option. 2 minutets later we were being seated downstairs at Don Pasquale for Lunch. Without asking, water and glasses were brought to the table and we had the menus in our hands. the restaurant was almost at capacity but their efficiency was slick even removing the empty bottles of coke without us noticing after the drinks had been ordered.
They brought childrens menus but as shown, they were really aimed at 9 years and under. So after about 10 minutes we made our order of 1 single main and two mains from the special offers menu (2 course or 3 course) 1 pizza was shared between the kids and they brought out an extra plate. Some places will charge for this but not here.
With no exageration the meal was with us in under 10 minutes. Super fast service. I've waiting longer for fish and chips in fast food outlets! we also had dessert and bought Canollis after. So, all in all for two 12" pizzas, A calzone, 4 deserts 4 soft drinks and a bag full of canollis from the bar upstairs including a tip, came in at just under £50.
Their service was fantastic; Really welcoming and friendly.
The Restaurant itself really does feel like you have left England and are somwhere in the Med with the decore such as it is and it has a really great vibe about the place. It is a classy place, and harkens to a time when quality was found in service, food quality and good manners and not, as seems to be the case these days were quality often seems to be a measurement of how expensive a food can be, how shiny and illumniated the sign can be or how big the chain is around the world, but then, when it comes down to brass tax, the service can be awful and unloyal.
Eating here is romantic, homely, friendly, tasty, efficient, fun and wont break the bank.
We'll Be back!!
Beautiful traditional Italian food. Very quick and friendly service in typical Italian surroundings. We ordered calzone and Salomon on tagliatelle, and it was the best we ever had! It was great to see traditional such Sicilian cannoli. Very delicious.
Pasta was much better than expected. Looks to be kind of touristy but they really delivered. Pasta tasted fresh and was perfectly seasoned, I contemplated getting a second bowl! Excellent overall for location, price point and service
No need for any of the snobbery down there. The waiters and waitresses have only ever been pleasant when we've been there. The wine cellar really does make it authentic and the way the food is presented is really rustic - these wooden bowls, the lady with the big pepper thing, love it.
Food was good and especially the house dressing. The sitting area outside is just like being by an Italian café in the sun.
Even if these people below didn't enjoy the experience, such melodrama as "it was hardly even edible" and "awful service" is just incorrect. You'd think you were catering royalty with such pickiness! It's very rude.

So many reviews about bad pizza.. I guess that’s what to expect if you’re used to dominos. This place is run through generations of Italian heritage that knows how to make a proper pizza and the best we have had for a good number of years. Excellent service topped off the experience.
