We stopped at Côte after attending service at St. John's and had a pleasant surprise. It was lunchtime already, but they were serving brunch dishes as well. We ordered their full English breafast, which was very nice. The atmosphere is lively, the service fast, and the food in line with what we expected for a local chain. This is a convenient stop and we recommend it.
The staff was very polite and friendly.
We get a table next to the window.
We ordered a 2 meal course.
The starter was delicious.
The main we ordered a steak frites was amazingly delicious.
Quality food for affordable price .
We visited Côte during our day out in Cambridge today and chose to sit on their terrace while the sun was shining. All of a sudden a big downpour, Chris rushed us indoors and got us setup in what felt like a private dining area. He and the serving staff were fantastic throughout, very attentive, friendly and kind. We had a great lunch and lovely experience. If you’re looking for a special dining experience in Cambridge go to Côte, Chris and his colleagues will ensure you have a great time!
I’m a regular guest at Cote and you literally can’t fault it, the food and quality of service are always impeccable. The staff always goes above and beyond to exceed my expectations. Special thanks to Anna who looked after me today, as well as Evelina and Agatha!
I went out out with friends who didnt have any dietary requirements and I ordered a drink, vegan main and dessert and had a starter.
The food was really good but unfortunately the service let things down.
The starters came out in a reasonable time and it was a bit of a longer wait for the main but nothing to complain about.
When I asked for ketchup to use with my fries, the waiter forgot and I got quite a way through my meal before they remembered.
At times it was hard to get a waiter's attention whether it be to ask for the bill or for ketchup in the first place. I would have given up on the ketchup if my friend didn't ask me if I wanted it (she would have tried to get the waiter's attention as well).
We waited the longest for dessert to come out, considering we finished our main around 3pm,we didn't finish eating our dessert until almost 4pm as it was a long wait!
My friends have eaten there before and one said the service isn't normally like this so I would consider going back again as that was my only complaint.
The food was very good! Try mint tea if you like mint 🫠
Breakfast was tasty, and waiters were kind.
I highly recommend
Never been to a Côte before as I try to avoid chains in favour of independent places, and I assumed it was a bit too flash for me. On a very busy day, having failed to find anywhere else, we went into one out of desperation ... and I was pleasantly surprised. Good food, pretty quick service, and not as flashy as I had assumed. My main gripe is the ground floor disabled toilet/baby change was constantly being used by Cambridge ponces that couldn't be bothered to walk upstairs to use the main toilets, but it's not the business's fault as to the nature of the clientele they attract! Côte proved me wrong and I would go again 😁
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming Cote restaurant in Cambridge, and I must say it was an exquisite experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the delightful French cuisine.
The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also genuinely passionate about the food they were serving.
Côte’s menu is a journey through French cuisine. The flavors are authentic, and the wine selection complements the dishes perfectly. A lovely spot for a romantic dinner or a special celebration.
The Côte Brasserie in Cambridge is very good and I unreservedly recommend it. As one of a chain it is reliable - so if you’re familiar with the Côte menus and style, you know you will get a good meal with good service. My wife and I meet my sister and her husband here once a month to catch up (Cambridge being a convenient half way point between us). We are always satisfied with Côte.
We had simple 'bistro' dishes and they were very enjoyable. The outdoor table and service were good. We tried two of the 'fancy' gins but neither were as good as the standards. As with most places in Cambridge the prices were extortionate, particularly drinks
Whilst on the surface, the menu seems to lack much imagination - the execution of the dishes was superb. The beef bourguignon was definitely a reason to come back. Service was very slick and there is a large amount of seating. No down payment necessary to reserve a table, reasonably priced wine list too.
I have got nothing but praise for this restaurant. The staff were so accommodating. I have allergies and the lady that served us was very helpful and took her time making sure all choices given suited me. I have dined here with my friend a few times now over the years and we have always been so well looked after. The food was very enjoyable. 5* !!
Had a fantastic table for eight away from the main hub so we were able to talk without shouting. Lovely staff, attentive but not intrusive. Food excellent.
Great atmosphere and lovely food, pictured is the baked camembert we had for starters
I absolutely loved my experience at Cote Brasserie in Cambridge!
Cote never seems to disappoint and once again, they went above and beyond for our party of 13 on 8th May 2022!
The food was absolutely delicious and even though we were a large party, they got everything spot on!
Thank you all for your amazing work!

EDIT: I visited a second time on Valentines Day - Feb 2023 - and absolutely loved it! The food was once again, exceptional - and the service was great!
Tasty menu offering a true taste of RFrench cuisine. Service was good, though a couple of misunderstandings were made on the timing of our deserts. Overall a well enjoyed evening experience.
