Busy brunch spot, would rate it 5 stars however I was disappointed by the pricing. I ordered a side of eggs for £2 and only received ONE egg! Totally overpriced, as I would’ve expected at least 2 eggs. The service was also very slow - took around 20 minutes to get my coffee. Although it was a packed house, the service could’ve been faster.

Lovely cafe selling very high quality breakfast and cakey items. The sausage on sour dough was delicious and I added a fried egg for good measure. High quality condiments available as well and a very good selection of Drink's coffee and juice are available. Incredibly helpful staff and good seating arrangements. Was also very dog friendly.

I would stay clear of the cinnamon bun. I was disappointed there is very little to no cinnamon and sugar between layers of roll. The flavours is doughy and buttery with no cinnamon and inconsistent sweetness. Hot Numbers, has always been amazing; from my student days to civi street. Coffee creamy and well balanced to a selection of specialty beans, with different methods of brewing. All their kitchen food to pastry’s has always been on point (not this time). Definitely recommend a visit for a drink and any other bites. Update 18th Feb 2023: been meaning to put this up, but haven't found the time until now. We were invited back to try out their cinnamon and orange Morning buns to see the changes made, and the difference is night and day. Good lamination, with decent amount of sugar and cinnamon that is consistent, between the layers of the rolls. A nice crisp inviting top, that develops downward into a soft and gooey bottom, where the bun sat in the baking tray. It evident allot of care has gone into this batch. Can taste hints of orange between the sweetness and cinnamon, married in with the soft buttery pastry. The bakers did amazingly. I highly recommend when these beauties pop up you give them a try. Thank you again @hotnumbers for having us try out your new batch. I look forward to my next visit

Great cafe, seems to be popular with students. We ordered a gochujang beef bibimbap and avocado and egg on toast. It was very tasty. We went in at 12:30 on a Sunday and it was pretty busy and it was difficult to find seating. It cleared up at 1pm. Nice atmosphere to have a chat with friends!!

Have visited on two occasions now - Both quite busy and lively! A bit hit-or-miss if looking for a table since it's often quite full of folks stationed with their laptops -- which is to say, it *is* a great place to sit and work or study awhile, you just may need to come early or wait a while for a seat. And bring earplugs or headphones if background noise is distracting. Plenty of power outlets, and friendly service this time (my first visit about a month ago seemed less this way). Good coffee. Lots of vegan/gluten free options. I've now tried the bibimbap and huevos, and would recommend both. Planning to try the beautiful pancakes one of these days when I can make it in for breakfast!

Absolutely lovely hipster café. Great quality coffee, cinnamon buns were amazing, and Rhubab pancakes hit the spot. Would definitely come back again!

Excellent neighbourhood cafe a short walk from Cambridge City centre. When we arrived on a Sunday morning it was very busy but we managed to secure a table near the door. The coffee on offer is impressive and my long black was punchy and fruity, very good indeed. We ordered pancakes two ways, both of which were delicious and the pancakes themselves were light and fluffy whereas they can often be stodgy. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Recommended

Good coffee and good food! Got eggs and toast which was really good. My friend got poached I got scrambled with side of halloumi. Overall delicious but slightly bland. Breakfast/food menu is limited but it’s more of a cafe than a restaurant.

I was craving for Chai Latte and I'm even happier when they're able to let me have it with oat milk. We also had the expresso orange cake which I enjoyed it because I have a sweet tooth but may not be so for people who doesn't have a liking for sweet stuff (IMHO). Overall, coffee is good; ambience is cozy, staff are friendly and welcoming. It'll most likely be my default go-to.

Good food & coffee. Great place to do some work during the week - wifi is good for work but not video calls. Does get very loud but lots of seating. Be prepared to queue!!

I took my friend out for his birthday for breakfast on Friday, so we popped into the Gwydir St branch after many years of not being able to eat out due to strict dietary requirements. The food was beautiful to look at, it took a little while to come to the table (which I really like, as it’s generally an indicator that it isn’t microwaved rubbish), and it was delicious. He’s still thinking about the pancakes today, and I am too even though k didn’t have them! I opted for a “cleaner” dish which was also delicious and super filling! Thank you, will be back soon.

Nice cosy place for brunch prices are reasonable for Cambridge (avocado toast + extra Halloumi for 12£ ish) First come first served and family friendly 😊 Sourdough very tasty and coffee also nice taste 😊

Absolutely amazing coffee and very good selection of coffee beans, arguably the best available in Cambridge. Pancakes were masterfully made: light, fluffy yet with a crunchy edge and served with a generous amount of maple syrup! You can choose to have it with bacon (a true crispy delight that pairs well with the maple syrup and pancakes), or with berries, honeycomb and vanilla mascarpone delicately decorated with edible flowers. Personally the latter was too sweet for me but would be a great treat to share between 2 people.

The best scrambled eggs in Cambridge with great customer service every time, really recommend the Body and Soul roast for a black Americano

Excellent independent coffee shop with great breakfast or brunch options. Including avocado on sour dough toast or a classic bacon or sausage sandwich. Superb coffee both in terms of flavour and as a kickstarter a 9oz is perfect.

Great place to chill or work. Close to the centre but in a quiet street. Good food and coffee. The only one thing I didn’t like is that they charge for the babyccino. :P
