The main courses focus on two pub classics – fish & chips and pie & mash – but the innovative options give the menu a real twist. The menu is a great visual guide through the various combinations. There is lots of choice and the fish & chips combinations offer more than just fish, with vegetarian options such as halloumi and seasonal veggies.

The best fish and chips in the whole wide world. We took the classic haddock with chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce (which was delicious and paired really well with the crispy fish), absolutely fantastic. The chips were really good and in big quantities. The haddock was fresh and well fried, given the fact that the beer batter was crispy and its flavour mixed beautifully with the haddock, which was soft and tender giving contrast with the batter. The people working there were just as professional and friendly, thing that I loved! As soon as we walked in our dog was met with a bowl of fresh water and a treat, which he absolutely enjoyed. The location is also very casual but still modern and traditional, most like a pub. This is the best restaurant/pub in all of Cambridge, definitely makes it in my Top 5 favourite restaurants!

Great fish and chips, best with some beer on the tap. Great place, nice atmosphere. It takes a while to get your food, but its worth the wait

So, basically, this remains a pretty good pub for fish and chips (which are excellent, almost top of what I know in/around Cambridge), and you could have a pint watching rugby on TV. But we had to wait 1 hour 20 minutes for our order, and that suggests something is not right at the back (the staff at the front were not very busy at all). Hence the "average score" of 4*, but much depends on where your priorities are ...

Top notch fish and chips. Love the focused menu - tasty smaller dishes, fish and chip, and pies. Loads of options for how you want your fish and chips (even a vegan option, lots of different sides, and dips). Fish was flakey, fresh, and delicious with good sized potions. Mushy peas were a bit bland - but had various favored salt that you could add to customize it. Loveliest staff (one kept forgetting to bring the bill so gave a slightly lower review). We sat on the back patio. Great atmosphere. Had a fab night.

Could not have stumbled upon a better place for dinner. Matt and Mya were so accommodating and who knew you could get gluten free fish and chips- what a god send! I love how you can construct your own meal. Amazing idea. Paul was so welcoming, had great recommendations in regards to drinks. Amazing team, can’t wait to be welcomed again soon! Thank you :)

Absolutely outstanding! This place deserves only positive feedback from me and my guests! Meals portions sizes was gigantic, food quality and taste supreme! Lots to chose from drinks menu too! Staff friendly and helpful: if you need advise they with pleasure help you out. Worth every penny spend. Will come back for sure!

Gluten free options. Pick a fish,then a batter, then a side, and then sauce. Excellent. Curry cauliflower cottage pie with mustard mash and mushy peas was delicious. Great service.

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Delightful and cozy restaurant with a small but excellent menu. The crumble with berries and custard was a perfect balance of sweet, tart, and creamy. Service was lovely and the Irishman behind the bar poured a great pint of Guinness. Would definitely return.

Nice atmosphere quiet even though moderately busy, met up with an old friend for pre dinner drinks. Nice real ale with a variety of strengths, good if you prefer the lighter ales. Didn't eat here, but from what I saw the meals looked nice and many people seemed to be enjoying the food.
