My wife and I went to Raja for our anniversary, smashing friendly service and smashing food, we will definitely be eating here again
Been here for the first time last month and loved it! Lovely staff and great food! Going back this Saturday and taking the parents!! Looking forward to another great meal Raja!!!
Brilliant service , staff friendly, food excellent, highly recommended
Amazing food and kind service! Highly recommended!
Lovely food, lovely staff!! Thanks very much!
The food was really good. Amazing Indian food and prices are higher than average but totally worth it. The ambience is really nice as well. The staff were very friendly and gave very good suggestions. Will definitely visit more often.
Staff are very nice, food is also great. The curry is very rich in flavour: I enjoy the afghani lamb the most.
Unplanned visit turned out very well as we had a quick meal before going for a Saturday night out. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs before the closing hour. I look forward to visiting you next time with more time to enjoy your delicious food.
Wonderful authentic dishes with fantastic and distinctive flavours. Nice presentation in a comfortable and nostalgic setting. The service was also phenomenal by lovely staff. Highly recommend the Shere Khan Chicken and the Mowgli Beef.
What an awesome find. Came across this by chance and very glad we did. It's got a good food menu and the excellent kingfisher beer is available here too which I love. Food was very innovatively presented and quite tasty. I was impressed by the Thali and highly recommend it. Looking forward to visiting again!
Poppadoms and pickles good. Lovely beef and black lentil curry, excellent! Naans OK as was my Prawn Puri. No sweets, which was a shame. Noise level significant on a Wednesday evening at 1900. Service friendly and pretty laid back! We look forward to returning!

The restaurant was amazing and the person that served us was very lovely. It was our first day at Cambridge. I was however very disappointed with the butter chicken. I felt it was very bland and felt like dal. The pani puri here was amazing and the chutney selection.
Visited while on holidays to the UK from Australia. The food, hospitality, aesthetics, and intentional care provided by the owner and workers was honestly 11/10 service, it was so lovely to feel taken care of after a long hot day (during the heat wave). Highly highly recommend. Was a lovely experience :)
Amazing quality food and plenty of it. Very reasonable pricing too. I had the Thali and it was superb. Great service with friendly staff. Amazing bonus of a birthday cake for my other half too. Thanks so much for a great evening.

Had a lovely meal! Last night we arrived late at night and the team we’re so accommodating to get a table for us. Great food, flavour so fresh and hot. 100% recommend!
Reading some of the reviews, I'm a bit confused as to whether these are pertaining to the same restaurant or not. My family & I found all the food to be fantastically flavoured. Great choices for all pallettes. Personally, I'd prefer it to be slightly more spicy, but that's not a criticism, it's just my taste. All dishes, including mango lassy drinks were very tasty. Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant and if we lived closer by, it'd become a regular visit.
Staff is friendly. Owner Raja chatted with us.
The rose gold cutlery adds a nice touch to the dining experience. The curries are flavourful and spicy and the paneer and tandoori are very tasty. Tiffin is ok.
We hadn’t visited Raja since before the pandemic and were delighted to find it has been fully refurbished in that time and now feels very fresh. The menu has been updated with a more modern twist (though the classics are all still there!) and now features more tapas-style small plates. Good vegetarian offering and we really enjoyed the Fuchka - a novel dish I haven’t encountered before which was tasty and fun. The Chilli Channa Massala has a good kick, whilst the paneer dishes were very done and flavourful.
The staff were attentive and genuinely nice. I spoke with Sai, who runs the restaurant, and his father Aminur “Raja”, who founded it.
Turns out they used to be based in my Scottish hometown and delightedly gave us some complimentary dishes which was so kind! Couldn’t recommend more.
Was down visiting Cambridge for the day alongside one of my fellow colleagues . Both fancied a curry and we bumped into Raja Restaurant. I had a lovely spiced chicken madras accompanied by a plain naan bread which was fluffy and soft . The curry was flavoursome and the service was great . I would definitely recommend to family and friends.
The korma was nice. Tiffin not so special. They didn't have a dessert menu :( service was amateur. 3.5 points.
