Lovely place! I had one of their baguette sandwiches, the homemade hummus, spiced tofu, and pomegranate molasses - honestly one of the best vegetarian sandwiches I’ve had! Really nice homemade hummus, and whoever’s idea it was to throw the pomegranate molasses idea in there was inspired. Nice coffee
This was our third visit to the Eating House, what a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent 👌
Set in the beautiful Calver village, just a short drive down from Grindleford is this gorgeous cafe.
Soooo many Gluten Free options you are spoilt for choice!
The food is really scrumptious. The atmosphere is quite and relaxing.
Outside sitting is available.
Lots of vegan cake options! I went for the date and orange crumble bar with vegan custard, delicious
Lovely little spot, fantastic fresh BIG breakfast, great cakes and brownie, but most importantly genuine and friendly service from the ladies, shows people can still be hospitable in hospitality! We shall return, thanks a lot.
We always stop here when in the area. Lovely food and friendly attentive staff.
Great spot to eat especially if you have your dog with you.
Very dog friendly.
All staff were very friendly.
Food was good . Would definitely recommend a visit if you are passing
Just chanced upon this place and very glad we did! Very varied menu, including for me, being gluten free. Sat in outside gazebos with our dogs, who were provided with water and gravy bones on arrival. Staff are great! Really friendly and helpful.
Super cakes and service in Calver.
Highly recommended!
Had a nice vegan breakfast here. We found the breakfast to be good however we did feel £9 was quite a lot for a vegan breakfast which didn't have a tofu scramble with it. Other then that the staff were good and we did enjoy our breakfast.
A highly recommended fantastic eatery.
Had an excellent vegetarian afternoon tea and there were lots of options on the menu too - all really reasonably priced. We have been really impressed with the food, the service and especially the Covid 19 measures. A really lovely cafe with extremely polite an
Arrived after a walk from Baslow along Curbar edge via Grindleford so was ready for a coffee and a bite to eat. The staff were very efficient, straight away got our 3 dogs a bowl of water and dog biscuits and then took our order. We didn't have to wait long for the best coffee I've had in a long t
We love this cafe.
The food is always good and there are places outdoors under cover to take the dog.
It's sometimes a little chilly outside so would benefit from a heated outdoor dog area.
Lovely food ,I had the kedgeree it was so tasty and there bread so fresh
At the end of a nice walk, the cafe was welcoming, with a good choice of food, at a reasonable price. I would definitely visit again when next walking in the area.
The best thing about this place is the staff, so friendly and welcoming and also treats for Dogs which are kept outside so if not a Doggy person, you can go inside. Nice cake choices as well
The food here is excellent quality. They do a separate vegan and coeliac menu. Always have vegetarian options, there veggie breakfast was great. Service can be a little slow at times but it's so worth the wait for the quality of the food. The cake selection is large too.
The best vegan cakes ever! Staff are lovely too. Great stop to look forward to on Peak District walks.
