Have used the Waverley on a few occasions, went last night with our 3 grandchildren all our food was lovely and the batter on the chicken and fish was best I have had in a long time even my little 6 year old grandaughter said batter on fish is delicious granny, also like to sit outside having a cuppa and watch the world go by, we will be back.

We stayed with an Itison voucher. The food was very good, the room was great but what made the stay was the warm welcome afforded by the staff. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Hi visited today for lunch with the family, I would like to say the food and service was excellent. Our meal was lovely and fresh and served promptly. As a family we were upset and shocked at the conduct of a gentleman who was in the bar area with his two beautiful Springer Spaniels, I am unsure if he is a regular at your establishment, but he pulled one of the dogs by the scruff of the neck then brutally kicked the other one in the head because the poor wee soul got in the way of some elderly ladies coming in the door! Now I know that you are not responsible for his behaviour, but I hope if this guy is a regular you find it in your heart to report him for animal cruelty! If this is the way he treats his dogs in public what is he doing at home. We were not the only people to have words with him, I think a member of staff did ask him to leave. One of the waitresses was visibly crying the attack was so brutal! I apologise for the long post but we just felt so compelled to contact you. Once again I am in no way blaming you for this incident but please contact the police regarding animal cruelty if you know this person. Regards June Williams and Family

Was there in the last couple of days with a friend,her daughter and their dog Hope. Cannot say enough good things about our experience at The Waverley. The staff were superb both in attention to detail and quality of service, topped off with a fine mix of locals and visitors alike. Would not hesitate to recommend.
