By far the nicest, most fresh food I’ve ever been served in a pub. Can’t fault the service and all the staff are lovely:)
It was a very nice evening with friends at this lovely cottage looking pub. Forget the renovations going on outside. As soon as you walk in, there is a warm feeling about the place. Service was welcoming and friendly, and the pub had a good selection of beers, ales, continental lagers & soft drink
We came her for food on a Friday night. The food was absolutely stunning with will definitely be returning soon. The pepper steak burger was sooo good. The service was fast and the staff are friendly.
Great food. Friendly staff. Nice walks nearby at the castle grounds.

Lovely welcoming pub with lovely attentive staff. Food was excellent too- generous portion sizes and reasonably priced. Fish in beer batter was lovely and my husband enjoyed his chicken kebab (he gave 10/10!). Would definitely visit again!
Delicious meals here. Hubby had the smashed patty burger, I had veggie burger and kids had pasta and fish goujons. All cooked perfectly. Care was taken even with the kids meals, which isn't always the case. Hubby is raving about his burger saying it the best burger he has ever had... A lot of pressu
Fantastic meal tonight at the castle inn with some friends. Castle tower burger is brilliant, always good cold pints too.
This is my go-to pub in Caldicot and is under new management since my last review.
They have done a lot to the pub cosmetically and extending the beer garden!
They also have a great updated menu.
There is a great walking route I take down the coastal path, then past the actual castle, and lands m
What a fabulous meal! Managed to bag a last minute table for 2 for Sunday Lunch! Ended up being the best roast we’ve had….Ever! Every thing was fresh, hot and perfectly cooked, Yorkshire puddings were massive and the portion sizes were more than enough, wash that down with a lovely pint of larger it
