We dined here twice and expect slightly higher prices , being on a holiday camp. The rump steak I had was cooked perfectly and delicious and was served quickly with polite staff. We returned Sunday for a roast dinner which again was reasonable, although the roast potatoes were a little small and hard, but the portions were of a good size. The only slight disappointment were the lack of deserts as many choices had ran out. The Eton mess which was delicious I was going to choose again but was Unavailable like several other choices. Would I return? Yes especially for another steak! The desert shown was for sharing for my 2 grand children.

We came to Caister-on-Sea for 4 days and it was our wedding anniversary on 25th/4 they literally bent over backwards. We got a free drink each with our meal and a card and we ordered dessert and they gave us double and 2 spoons for no extra charge. The food was lovely. All the staff were amazing but laura in particular was brilliant, lovely lady. Thank you for making our anniversary so special

We used this almost every evening. Food was always hot and cooked perfectly. The lattes and toffee pudding is to die for. The staff great friendly. I am a bit of a food critic but saw nothing to complain about here. Hence i will be going again tomorrow night

I got my drinks about 10 minutes after ordering which is quite fast the food came about 30 minutes after ordering. The hunters chicken was cooked to perfection and the chips were nice and chunky. The fudge cake was absolutely lovely and it was not dry at all.(these over reviews are absolute rubbish the staff were so helpful and people give them a 1 star)

Great place on the Haven site. Dogs are allowed inside as well. Staff are polite and prices are what you would expect.

Quality pub grub at quite honest prices as the food is good. Drinks add to the bill but would go again.

Staff are friendly and accommodating Selection of seating inside and out. Option to order via a qr code or at the bar. Typical pub grub style food. It was average over all. Very small portion for chicken sharer, it suggests it serves 3 but I think 2 would still be hungry after. Cajun chicken pasta was nice and lasagna okay. Kids pizza average but nuggets/fish fingers lovely. Wouldn't bother ordering the corn on the cob on the kids menu, it's about the size of my little toe! Burgers good. Breakfast was lovely, although my bacon was anemic but thats my preference for crispy bacon.

This was first time at mash and barrel, you can just walk in and find a seat at your own comfort, pay at bar and they bring it over to you, not a wide range of food but was lovely, all came out together and staff are nice, very air conditioned. Lots Seats out side, and toilet are a little bit away so maybe un safe for kids walk on there own, lots drink variety and great deals, worth the money 100%
