We haven’t ordered a takeaway for a long time, as regardless of what we order or where we order it from the food is always so bland and disappointing. But tonight we ordered a Murgh Sagwala from The Raj and it’s the best curry I’ve had in years. It was fresh, well spiced, seasoned just right and tasted delicious. We’ll done The Raj!

Myself, son and grandaughter (who was having her first experience of a traditional Indian restaurant) on 5.7.23.
It was made a good experience for Olivia as waiter Joe made a big fuss of her and made her feel special, even though she was more interested in food.

Very attentive staff clean and comfortable, not a lot of atmosphere. Considered chicken was under cooked and not able to eat centre of the breast. Lamb tough too, no licence

Absolutely lovely.. we requested no onions and they provided it with no hassle. Been living in Wales for 2 years now and not had a indian takeaway because of the onion situation I am pleased to say I will definitely be ordering again from here.

Great location (very close to Caerphilly Castle), good ambience (well lit, clean), reasonable prices, great service and good food. Vegetarian dishes (e.g. Mix Veg curry), Peshwari naan are great tasting too.

Had an evening meal here with friends.
The waiter was very helpful, attentive and patient. He helped us with selections and was very knowledgeable. The food was excellent and had good portions. Chicken tikka saag was my favourite, but all dishes were fab. Very reasonable prices, in fact cheap compared to city centre places.

I always order a takeaway here for home delivery every other month. Never been disappointed. Food is nice and love the chicken tandoori starter. Only Indian I know of that serves this on the bone. Delicious 😋 Looking forward to ordering again soon.

We found this restaurant very close to the castle and right in front of the car parking. We saw many people going in, so we decided to try it, considering also the good online reviews.
We had a great welcome. The staff has been very kind.
We took an appetizer, a main dish with rice and drinks. Quality and quantities are good. The menu has so many choices that you may get lost.
The dishes we took were very hot spiced (and I love hot spicy food!), maybe a little bit less would allow to appreciate more the tastes.
Great price value. Around 20 pounds per person.
