Located in the heart of Caerphilly town the King's is a great pub to watch sport at, there are plenty of TV's and a big screen.
The decor is a bit tired but it adds to the character of the pub as a whole, the staff are friendly and the food is decent, though the menu isn't the most extensive.
Nice pub pleasant staff good range of ales and decent menu. Visited on an arranged coach visit before going on to watch WBA at Cardiff City. Was made to feel welcome by the locals and recommend a visit if you are in the area.
Great cheeseburger and chips. I've eaten this on several occasions and the kind gentleman, who always takes my order knows what I'm going to have. Great staff, atmosphere and delicious food.
Had the best burger and waffle fries ever today! Shane behind the bar recommended it and suggested I try a peppercorn sauce with it, well it was banging and it’s now my new favourite. Thank you Shane for great customer service and a banging lunch
Food is decent and drinks are fine. Tables are often a bit sticky but the staff are very kind. Atmosphere varies.

Heres The History.
The King's Arms is a historic pub located in the town of Caerphilly in South Wales. The pub has a rich history, having been open for over 200 years. It is believed to have first opened its doors in the early 1800s.
Over the years, the King's Arms has had several previous owners, each leaving their mark on the pub in different ways. One of the most significant owners was a man named William Watkins, who ran the pub during the mid-1800s. Watkins was a popular and well-respected figure in the community, and he helped to establish the King's Arms as a hub of social activity in Caerphilly.
Another significant historical event associated with the King's Arms occurred in the 1940s during World War II. The pub was a popular spot for locals and soldiers stationed nearby, and it was known for its lively atmosphere and sense of community. However, during the war, the King's Arms was hit by a bomb during an air raid, causing significant damage to the building. Despite the damage, the pub was rebuilt and continued to serve as a popular gathering place for many years to come.
Today, the King's Arms is still a thriving pub, known for its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent selection of food and drink. Whether you're looking for a quiet pint with friends or a lively night out, the King's Arms is a great place to visit and soak up some of the history and tradition of this beloved Caerphilly institution
Came in on a Saturday evening at 5:15 with a table of six, the rugby was on and unsurprisingly most pubs were full.
Luckily the Kings Arms has a table of 6 spare which was perfect for us. The drinks were reasonably priced and the food was brilliant, we had the Korean spicy barbecue chicken nachos and the southern fried chicken strips and they tasted lovely. Would definitely go again, even during busy periods they managed to get us a table 5⭐ from me
Best all round pub in Caerphilly! Very friendly Pub/Resturant/Sports Bar, Bar staff are interactive and cater for all needs. whether your into F1 on Sundays or pub quiz or football or horses, good atmosphere and good music, gets busy on weekends too! Singers on Fridays and DJ on Saturdays! Prices are competitive too! Defo worth a visit

Brilliant service! Great value for food! Brilliant value for a pint! This is all!
Popped in for a bite to eat. Didn’t fancy chips due to the weather so Emma offered to swap my chips for salad, which I very much appreciated. The meal was amazing! The Duty Manager, Shane, came and checked on my meal as well. All in all a brilliant experience! Would definitely recommend!
Had a lovely experience today in the Kings, the barmaid Emma was very welcoming and friendly to myself and all the other customers who came in during my visit. She's always more than happy to help.
We came here while shopping in town. It's a lovely pub with a good drinks selection. There were plenty of veggie options to chose from too, and the food arrived quickly. the staff were friendly and we had a great time.
Had the best experience today at the Kings Arms! Emma behind the bar was very bubbly and friendly and told us how she was using her own time to raise money for the MNDA charity. Really enjoyed my vist
