Mother and daughter evening. Wow had a lovely meal, delicious food, had the belly pork, lamb crispy rolls, potato scraps and a cheese platter sharer, couldn't fault anything. Hats off to chef and kitchen staff, also well done Sion for running around serving everyone like a blue arsed fly. :-), brilliant hospitality, we'll definitely be coming back soon, thank you xc
Fantastic little place we stumbled across whilst walking the dogs! Husband and I had a nice meal here last night! Fantastic service from a young lady seemingly running the place single handedly! Had my sisters hen do here this weekend, staff on the night were very helpful and service was fantastic! Food was absolutely delicious with plenty to go around for our group of 14. Really good value for money!! Will definitely be returning. Diolch yn fawr iawn Roland ar tim!!! �

Found it quite by chance online when looking for somewhere to stay in Caernarfon over Easter - and what a find! The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable and I loved the traditional touches of the Welsh runners and cushions which gave each room it's own identity. Breakfast is optional but don't miss out, it's yummy. Dinner is not to be missed either, very generous portions and a wide range of dishes to cater for all tastes, we were spoiled for choice. We will certainly be back....thank you guys, you made us so very welcome.

Really good home cooked food. Hot, fresh, tasty with good quality ingredients.
The place isn't fine dining and linen table cloths but it is absolutely worth a visit - the atmosphere is nice, not too loud - you can easily talk to each other - the service was great.
I think what I liked most was ... the meal feels 'honest' - the presentation is nice enough but you really get the impression that real effort has gone into the food - someone really likes cooking and they are good at it. We will definitely visit again.
Had dinner while staying upstairs. Tasty, fresh food and warm, friendly ambiance. Especially good was cod, feta walnut salad and lamb kofta. Definitely will be back!!

Popped in for food with a friend on a quiet midweek in October - very well looked after and the food was excellent. Would recommend to anyone.
Excellent Welsh tapas, that are so flavorful and yummy. Loved what we ate including the celeric and mushroom, the lamb sausages, and brie and mango filo parcels, all of which were phenomenal.
The Welsh rarebit was good, a bit too cheesy, but I think that's how rarebit is supposed to taste.
The atmosphere was great, and a real glimpse of local Caenarfon, at least it seemed that way to me.
Definitely would recommend. The place deserves a Michelin bib gourmand, at the least.

The Welsh tapas is fantastic, great food and beer! As the locals say in Caernarfon: when in Caernarfon, go to Ty Castell... or Thai Castle? One or the other.
Cozy and cleaned room in the centre of the small town! Very friendly staff! It can be loud at night because of the pub nearby. Unfortunately there was not breakfast available because of the holidays and room/towel cleaning service wasn’t provided during those days, it may be due to New Year’s Eve holidays period.
Really enjoyed the Welsh slant on tapas at this delightful intimate restaurant. The food was well presented and flavoursome. The meat, seafood, vegetarian dishes and desserts were all consistently good in our dinner for two.

Booked a table here for my mum's birthday, the food was beautiful and the waitresses were so lovely and helpful! There isn't a disabled toilet but the entrance itself is wheelchair accessible so definitely manageable. Only thing I would say is that there were certain things that were unavailable on the menu which we didn't find out until after we had ordered. Other than that it was great!
Lovely food! Young/new staff. Great drinks! The croquettes, the pears, the halloumi fries, the olives all delish! We felt lucky to get seated without a reservation
There's only 5 stars on here when this place deserves so many more. Service is friendly, fast and helpful. The food is some of the best I have had. A really good varied menu using local produce. Excellent choice of drinks and a great venue.
Straight forward booking of a table by email a couple of days before travelling. The restaurant was busy, but not crowded. The table service was friendly & the tapas excellent. I'd especially recommend the sea bass. If we return to the Caernarfon area, we will definitely eat at Ty Castell again.
