Really good home cooked food. Hot, fresh, tasty with good quality ingredients.
The place isn't fine dining and linen table cloths but it is absolutely worth a visit - the atmosphere is nice, not too loud - you can easily talk to each other - the service was great
Had dinner while staying upstairs. Tasty, fresh food and warm, friendly ambiance. Especially good was cod, feta walnut salad and lamb kofta. Definitely will be back!!

Popped in for food with a friend on a quiet midweek in October - very well looked after and the food was excellent. Would recommend to anyone.
Excellent Welsh tapas, that are so flavorful and yummy. Loved what we ate including the celeric and mushroom, the lamb sausages, and brie and mango filo parcels, all of which were phenomenal.
The Welsh rarebit was good, a bit too cheesy, but I think that's how rarebit is supposed to taste.

The Welsh tapas is fantastic, great food and beer! As the locals say in Caernarfon: when in Caernarfon, go to Ty Castell... or Thai Castle? One or the other.
Cozy and cleaned room in the centre of the small town! Very friendly staff! It can be loud at night because of the pub nearby. Unfortunately there was not breakfast available because of the holidays and room/towel cleaning service wasn’t provided during those days, it may be due to New Year’s Eve ho
Really enjoyed the Welsh slant on tapas at this delightful intimate restaurant. The food was well presented and flavoursome. The meat, seafood, vegetarian dishes and desserts were all consistently good in our dinner for two.

Booked a table here for my mum's birthday, the food was beautiful and the waitresses were so lovely and helpful! There isn't a disabled toilet but the entrance itself is wheelchair accessible so definitely manageable. Only thing I would say is that there were certain things that were unavailable on

There's only 5 stars on here when this place deserves so many more. Service is friendly, fast and helpful. The food is some of the best I have had. A really good varied menu using local produce. Excellent choice of drinks and a great venue.
Straight forward booking of a table by email a couple of days before travelling. The restaurant was busy, but not crowded. The table service was friendly & the tapas excellent. I'd especially recommend the sea bass. If we return to the Caernarfon area, we will definitely eat at Ty Castell again.
