Highly recommend! �
Having experienced great difficulty in booking another local venue, we rang The Green to ask whether or not they could accommodate a group of 14 of us for a 'hen' afternoon tea on Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised with the polite and friendly staff, who were more than happy to help. Booking was quick and easy, with only a £5 deposit required per person...
The venue itself is tastefully decorated and we were greeted by Kim upon arrival. Tea & coffee was served straight away, with an array of sandwiches, wraps, mini cakes, meringues, scones... The staff even catered for my mum who has nut allergies - she had her own stand filled with food that was prepared separately, so we didn't have to worry about that at all... The tea and coffee kept coming, which was fab! To put it all simply, we all had a fantastic time with lots of fun & laughter, delicious food and fantastic service. Kim and the other staff went above and beyond for us, even coming outside to take a group photo for us! So thank you once again for a fantastic afternoon. We will definitely visit again in future! �
Lovely cooked tasty breakfast,including toast and jam. also Cheese toasty ,presentation amazing, quality service in lovely old fashioned setting .cappuccino drinks to finish off. Excellent value, recommend this to all in caerleon. Many years ago it used to be the Drovers pub on the common, in my teenage years .
Went to The Green for lunch today. It is such a lovely and relaxed place to be, great choices on menu, reasonable prices, lovely friendly chatty staff, quick service, great gluten free choices and they even had soya milk �. Highly recommended to anyone I just love the place. Definately will be returning soon. Thanks for a lovely afternoon The Green xxx
The new owners have certainly improved The Green. Very friendly staff, the food is very good and it is a lovely place to sit , relax and chat. It is conveniently close enough to the office for a lovely lunch. One of my favourite places to visit.
This was my third visit and it just gets better and better. The food is really really good and they don’t scrimp on portions either. All the staff are amazingly accommodating and friendly. The cakes are heavenly too. Go for Sunday roast you won’t be disappointed
Heard it had new owners so tried it out for breakfast this morning.
Lovely environment friendly staff and good value nicely cooked breakfast definitely visit again - home baked cakes sounded worth a try next time 😀👍🏻
Last night we had a amazing meal at the green, I highly recommend food is some of the best I've ever tasted and such friendly service too xx will definitely be going back.
Thank you so much for today- we only booked on Thursday for a baby shower today for 10 people due to being let down elsewhere...The Sunday dinner was possibly one of the best I have had, the service was excellent and we all had a lovely afternoon. All ten of the party commented on how amazing the food was. Highly recommended!
Went there on Saturday for lunch. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. We had pizza which was very tasty.
My dog loved it too. He sat under the table and had a few pieces of pizza�

Garlic mushrooms were gorgeous and the steak was cooked to perfection. Lovely little pub and very happy staff too!

Lovely little place with very cute and cosy decor. We had the earlybird evening menu which, at £12.95 for 2 courses, was excellent value for money. We had the chicken skewers and creamy mushrooms on pesto bruschetta to start, followed by the chicken curry and beefburger - all very nice! The chips were gorgeous, the beefburger was juicy and delicious. My only small complaint was that the chicken curry was a little basic; a simple tomato based sauce which, although nice, was slightly lacking in flavour (it was also thigh meat I think, which isn't to my taste but I'm sure others would enjoy!). We were served by a gentleman who I assumed was the manager; a lovely chap, very friendly and quick service! Will definitely be returning, look forward to trying their breakfast & pizzas.
Had my baby shower here today. WOW. What a great venue with a fabulous bunch of people. Were made to feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks so much to all of you who made my day as special as it was. Will definitely visit again and recommended to anyone x

I had a delicious brie and cranberry toastie and, my husband thought the goat curry was "lush"!
Jason and his team made the most gorgeous cake and cupcakes for my husband. Light, fluffy victoria sponge, covered in a beautiful tasty buttercream, yum! Food, service, garden all wonderful ��
Took my mum and nan for afternoon tea today and it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and attentive from the call to book to the service today! The cakes were to die for!!! Thank you
Delightful! We (including our cocker spaniel) were welcomed with a smile. We enjoyed our delicious coffee sitting on comfortable leather sofas catching up on the local news. Great place. Lovely people.
Excellent. Great drinks, amazing food and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Be sure to try some of the baked goods for dessert, you won't regret it.
I have been to the Green for brunch etc before and always had a fab experience, but had my daughters 2nd Bday party there today and it couldn't have been better. Fantastic cake, venue, great food and they could not do enough to help us! Will def be recommending to everyone
Food vary vary good stakes perfect and the sauces some of the best ever had will be going back for a second go

Terrific little gem. Great place to eat fresh food, great service and very pleasant. Our server was great but did not get the chance to thank her except by tip. Locals friendly and talkative. The cakes were enjoyable by the children. I loved the IPA. It is also dog friendly. Thank you and see you again.
I love this restaurant. The staff are always friendly, the food is excellent value for money and they are the most dog friendly place I’ve ever visited. With a bonus of spectacular cakes! Brilliant!
Lovely, local cafe. Food and coffee is really good. The sandwiches are always of a good standard and the veggie breakfast is lovely. Very dog friendly, they give them food and lots of attention which is nice to see. The team there is always friendly and provides great service.
Popped in here whilst travelling through the area because there was a sign outside that they were dog friendly, had such a great experience that we will now be using this place as a destination in future.
Lots of lovely little touches that made our visit great, such as being seated and our dog immediately being given a bowl of water.
Then when out drinks were brought out they also brought out a bowl of chicken for our four legged best friend (they checked first)
When we settled the bill, we were pleasantly surprised with low the bill was - less than £15 for two drinks, two cakes and a bowl of chicken for the dog!
Everybody who worked there was smiling and a pleasure to speak with.

Great selection and variety of homemade cakes. Customer services was really friendly and family atmosphere.
Had breakfast last week and it was Fab, lots of it and good quality. Just stopped off today for some lunch. (Our dog had lunch too). Cakes look amazing, so we are coming back to try. Staff friendly and love dogs .
Staff are fantastic, couldn’t do enough for us. Food was great and a big selection. Really dog friendly, and a lovely atmosphere.

Great food but drinks are a bit overpriced, I would go there more often if it were more reasonable. Nice place to head for a brunch/lunch. Other coffee shops might be better if you just want coffee and cake though...
Really nice place staff friendly and welcoming we sat outside under the gazebos while we had nice weather dog friendly place the homemade cakes looked nice. We had Welsh breakfast tasty and good value for money would highly recommend
Great menu. Not overly large, several mains, a large selection of sandwiches, paninis etc and good choices for kids. The coffee is really good and staff very accomodating. Rear terrace area has lots of tables and is very shielded from wind etc. Large gazebo to sit under with another two being delivered today. Will definitely visit again.
Staff are wonderful and breakfast is huge & great value. Coffee very good. Glamorgan sausages awesome.

Great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff, dog friendly and always give dogs a bowl of chicken and water on arrival which is exceptional. Cannot fault this place at all, will make this our regular. Nice and clean. Plenty of choice of food, delicious cakes. My sister and I and her little dog were very happy here.
Good food and coffee, went twice in a week, says it all. My only grumble, was that I had to wait 15 minutes on both occasions to have my order taken, and that was after I got up to order from the till, staff are all friendly, perhaps I was a bit unlucky, will try again soon.
First time here today with our dog and 5 year old niece. The staff were lovely and bonus is that dogs can be inside and out. We sat inside as it was too hot outside and the staff served us really quickly, they even brought out some chicken for our dog who was super happy. The food was lovely and the portion sizes are spot on. Can’t wait to visit again.
Stopped off here a couple of times for breakfast on our group bike ride. Plenty of space outside to dine and store our bikes and it's got cover should it rain!

Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast with my 13 year old granddaughter at this lovely place recently. The staff were friendly & welcoming and happy to make adjustments to the breakfast ordered by my granddaughter who 'didn't like' certain things replacing them with her preferred favourites!
The cakes looked delicious too but we didn't sample on this occasion....will be returning soon!
