Booking is advised. We booked online. You need to confirm this with card details.. £15.00 per person charge if you cancel within 24 hours of the booking We were seated and chose to sit in the garden. The views were stunning. Service was fast and efficient. The food was delicious. The establishment is dog friendly. I cannot comment on the accommodation as we didn't stay, but its literally 10 seconds walk away. Service charge was not included in the bill total, but... £1.23 is added as an optional gift tree, which you do not have to pay if you don't want to. I cannot fault, and would definitely return again. Organised and efficient with a great rural setting and beautiful views.. ( weather permitting).

This is a 12th century Inn that has been completely updated. No dark areas or dowdy furniture here. The place looks fantastic. Although I did not stay in the rooms the pig sty also seems to have been upgraded to a very high standard. The staff and proprietor were all very welcoming and friendly. I can't wait to take the family there for a meal.

One of the few roasts I’ve had where they didn’t let themselves down on a single element. It was all quality food, but the gravy was standout for me. I don’t remember ever having better. I love that both the food and the venue are quality without wandering into pretentiousness. It’s got a really welcoming vibe to it. My wife and I had the beef and the kids both had the ham. I tried some of their meat and it was superb. At the price charged I don’t think you’ll find a better roast.

Absolutely perfect in every way, a unique and genuine gastro pub... we have been going to this place almost since it opened its doors and they are always consistently brilliant in every way. The food is outstanding with an imaginative seasonal menu and the staff could not be more friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you again for a very special meal last night, our friends who had never been before were highly impressed.

Just back from having an incredible meal at The Blind Bull - the food was outstanding, the staff amazing and the setting just gorgeous! Its a hidden gem in the Peak District and one of the best of its kind in the area - can't recommend it enough. If I didn't live so near by I'd want to stay there overnight as I believe their accommodation is outstanding too.

Went here for the food. Restaurant is great. Friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere with the closed fire place. Tasty and quality food. A bit pricey, but worth it.

A last minute booking for 2 on a Friday night on the spur of the moment and we had a wonderful meal. Food was exceptional. £39.95 for two courses is really good value for the quality of fine dining on offer given most standard pub meals are around £20. Everything was amazing to look at and sensational to taste. The vegetarian options we tried were exceptional too. All this in a more relaxed modern country pub setting with their own excellent beers. A little off the beaten track but we enjoyed a nice 30 minute walk across fields afterward to catch the last bus home from Bradwell.

Beautiful pub. We sat outside for a drink, lovely and peaceful with good views of the countryside. We had a great Sunday lunch here, starters and dessert excellent too. Good service, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

What a great find, first visit but won't be the last. Nice location, nicely furnished, really good food, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Food was a little more pricey than we usual go for but was well worth it. It was quite a shock to see a 21pound gratuity charge on the bill but this was optional!!!

Easy to park and you don't need to pay. Gorgeous food but not too much of it (smallish). Wonderful location. Excellent service. A bit expensive but you mostly get what you pay for.

We haven’t stayed with the Blind Bull yet but we received such good customer service I felt compelled to leave a review. We had a room and dinner reservation booked and needed to rearrange at short notice as our young daughter who has type 1 diabetes was unexpectedly hospitalised causing a lot of worry. The team rebooked us without question and we are now looking forward to our visit even more. Thank you for abandoning the “T’s and C’s” and taking into account the fact that life can sometimes throw curve balls, brilliant.

Another superb feast for the family. Great ingredients, intelligently combined into stunning dishes, plus all the little extras which elevate this restaurant into a really special experience. Engaging staff also make for a welcoming atmosphere.

We visited the Blind Bull twice in the 2 days we were staying locally in the Peak District. The pub itself is wonderful with stunning views and a rich history. The food and service on both visits were top class. The staff could not have been more accommodating, helping us with questions, trying to source a taxi for us etc.... also they are super dog friendly and wether you are dressed up for an evening meal or finishing off a long days walking you will be welcomed. The menu was excellent value in my opinion with additional amuse boushe and petit fours included and genuine top restaurant quality food. Brilliant place, if you're in the area and want a top meal then go here.
