Fantastic range of beers in particular the plum porter for my hubby. I was also happy to be able to have a gluten free peroni. The staff were friendly and the pub was so cosy, especially on a wet Monday afternoon. We only popped in for a quick drink at 1 30 and was still there at 8pm after having several drinks and a meal. A memorable stay in Buxton. Will definitely return.

Anniversary lunch with my partner. Fabulous food, perfect ales and plenty more besides. Some lovely touches like guest ciders, complimentary cheese with a beer sampling board and old fashioned billiards. Lovely staff too. My only complaint was the chauvinistic gentlemen in a large group across the room, which you can't blame the staff or pub for! Would highly recommend and certainly visit again :)

We visited this pub a couple of times over a weekend in Buxton. It's lovely inside, with plenty of space, and warming fires too. Dog friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On Friday lunchtime it was quite deserted but we had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch despite some first choices of meals and drinks being unavailable. I can recommend the "Steak and Titanic Plum Porter Pie" - very flavoursome and filling!! On Saturday lunchtime we stopped for some drinks. It was much busier and had more atmosphere. I can recommend the Titanic Plum Porter. I could have sat there and quietly consumed that all afternoon had I been allowed to! There is a car-park at the rear....

Food was great, lots of veggie options as well as some gluten free as well. We had a good mix of food between us and all were happy. Also had a few starters and pudding as well! Oh and the doggo happily sat in the corner. There were lots of dogs in the pub which was nice to see 🐶

Last minute meal last night for my birthday had the Salmon Tagliatelle which was delicious and a pint of the Titanic lager, not sure what it was called though, which was recommended by the friendly bar staff (definitely recommend that lager to anyone) Couldn't fault the pub or its members of staff at all. It was nearly 9pm when I walked in and there was a lovely warming atmosphere to the place. If your ever in Buxton I urge you to call in, I'll certainly be back soon as I can.

We arrived on Sunday evening and stopped for something to eat. This happened to be quiz night. It was great to see a load of regulars taking part and they invited us to join in. We had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and onion rings. The food was great. The burger was tasty. The only problem I had was that the onion rings were a little on the oily side. Apart from that I would recommend eating here.

Lovely pub in Buxton. Short walk from the market place. Driven by many times and often said 'must try it one day'. Now we have and it certainly will not be the only time. Lovely old building (fairly low ceilings in parts) with an impressive range of Titanic Brewery beers ( independent Staffordshire brewery). Food was all locally sourced and cooked to perfection. Smaller sized fish portion was perfect for this oldies lunch and the massive burger, including black pudding was devoured by my son 😋.

"Dog Friendly" was the clincher for booking even though the pooches weren't with us. Free Parking (don't forget to sign in) Friendly, Polite & Attentive Staff, Great Burgers, the All Day Breakfast is Outstanding & my first ever pint of Titanic will definitely not be my last. A Very Enjoyable Experience from start to finish in lovely surroundings.

Gluten Free & Dog friendly!! Staff were amazing and the food was just as good as the service. Lots of GF options including desserts. Classic local pub vibes. Went at midday on a Sunday for Sunday lunch. Highly recommend.

A beautiful little pub located in the heart of a beautiful little town . The staff was great and the food was amazing. Though we didn't order any mains the sides were worth the go. The staff wore PPE and restaurant was well maintained. The food took ages to arrive, probably due to the timing we went. But for starters it was definitely a long wait. The food was worth the amount and couldn't ask for more. Would recommend this pub to anyone looking forward for a simple yet enjoyable pub experience .

Mushy pea and mint soup ? Who would have thought of that ! It's creamy. It's comforting. It's hearty and that’s just the starter 😄 it was a grapple between the steak pie or hunters chicken honestly in hindsight. Should have just had both it was all so good. Good parking, building screams traditional pub, loved it !

Their bacon and cheese burger was incredible, one of the nicest burgers I'd ever had. Cheesy chips is great to go along with it. The chicken in their chicken burger was the best chicken we'd ever had. Hats off to the place.

We did not eat here which is a shame as we discovered it right at the end of our holiday. Really good gf and veggie selection. I would have loved to try the options. If we ever go this way again I definitely will. Nice atmosphere and bar staff really nice and friendly.

Lovely pub, good beer, great service. We play the quiz on a Sunday and it is good fun. Drinks are reasonably priced and the guest ales change regularly. Clean interior, plenty of seating and dog friendly!
