Without a shadow of a doubt this shop is one of the best things to have hit buxton for years. The store has a great range of viynl, especially if you like rare jazz records, and some of the best food around, all locally sourced. The Reuben sandwhich is a must.

I now come here once or twice a week! I absolutely love the place! The food and coffee is phenomenal and the concept is so well executed as it’s ran by two dedicated Pros!
We’ve ended up building a lovely acquaintance with the owners and staff.
They are dog and family friendly. Even my feral children don’t seem to be an issue
Absolutely over the moon that such a fabulous place has opened in Buxton!
Seriously, well done guys!!!! Xxxxxx
We were looking for a quick lunch in Buxton and stumbled on this cafe and we weren't disappointed. First of all the food was amazing. Second of all, the atmosphere in there is incredible, with vinyls to browse through while sipping your drink. Great selection of music to play, from the record player too. Definitely would recommend!
Fancied going somewhere different today, so headed over the Peak District to Buxton to try this place. Cake, coffee and vinyl...our favourite things so had high hopes. Delivered all round, the food was really tasty, the cake gorgeous and the coffee/tea was perfect. Great relaxed vibe, friendly staff and great music choices played. Recommend it & will return!
Visited coda on Sunday afternoon as I wanted somewhere to get some food and a drink whilst doing some work. The staff were super friendly and lovely, the Reuben was absolutely gorgeous! The brownie was very big and super tasty! Will definitely be going back for a chilled afternoon! I even managed to get some work done whilst having a glorious view of solomans temple as it was a gorgeous sunny day.
A really nice place to eat, drink, relax, purchase vinyl, listen to records and see live music. A lovely place and we will definitely be back
Friendly staff, lovely coffee and selection of home made cakes to enjoy while listening to fab music too!
A hidden gem!
Friendly staff very approachable love the records it's like your in Manchester just been out of the town love it coffe to die for going to try the food and cakes they look amazing 5 star from me xx
Called in today for a leisurely cup of coffee (or two) and a good browse - walked out with a small armful of vinyl. Lovely, friendly place - I will be a regular
Gorgeous Coffee Bar/Eatery/Record Shop with a warm social & very friendly atmosphere.
What could be better than drinking fine teas or lush coffees with yummy food, whilst listening to & browsing an extensive collection of Vinyl records. A lovely, relaxing way to spend your time & if you are looking to expand your vinyl collection there is no better place to do it.
The owners have put a lot of thought, care, love & attention into the venue & it shows.
A novel and thoroughly addictive cafe drawing in music lovers like myself and anyone who needs a warm and lively environment for modern food and drinks. Yesterday was a grand, bustling opening as I made quickly for boxes of vinyl finding a vast range of affordable records to pluck out choice copies. A fun race to snap up fascinating albums before anybody else did! Owners Neil and Barbara were really friendly and worked flat out with their staff for all customers’ needs.
The decor at Coda Vinyl Cafe is bright and eye-catching, too. Check out the cool ‘DSOTM’ entrance mat and use it well after the prism logo has worn out in this fab new cafe.
Great place. Fantastic selection of vinyl. Good service and the dark hot chocolate was fab !!! Will certainly visit again.
Great place, so friendly and great music. And the food is fab too
Plenty of choice and well priced records. Plus it's a really nice place selling great coffee and cakes!
Great place, brilliant vinyl selection, great coffee and very friendly staff.
If you love Vinyls this coffee shop has plenty to peruse and buy, you can even request which one to play next!
The coffee is roasted locally and was very strong. If you're not keen on a strong coffee then they also have a wide variety of teas to choose from.
We didn't try the food as we had already eaten and we're so sad about this as it looked amazing! If we're in the area again we will have to revisit!
Pets are also allowed! Any place that allows pets gets a thumbs up from me.
Great little coffee shop/record shop. Loads of records to choose from and the coffee and paninis are great. If you’re ever in Buxton or just passing through, make sure you pop in!
Gorgeous food and hot chocolate! My husband was equally impressed with his food and coffee. even though it was short staffed, the staff present were friendly and welcoming and I did not mind waiting to be served as I was just enjoying, the atmosphere of the place. Definitely worth recommending! :)
This was our first family visit, we ordered brunch.
The staff were friendly and accommodating.
We reserved a table as one of our party was disabled and couldn’t walk far. The table was reserved near the door so access was easier.
On arrival we were greeted with friendly welcoming staff.
It is a quirky dog friendly place and the staff also refilled the dog water for our dog and this was gratefully received as it was a warm sunny day and We had just been for a walk beforehand.
We would revisit. Its clean, fresh food.
Great hot chocolate .
They play records which is rare but quite quirky and nostalgic.
We would highly recommend a visit so you can enjoy the establishment as we did.
Its a family run cafe and uses locally resourced produce. It wasn’t too busy (mid morning on Sunday) which suited us.
Friendly, yet easy welcome. Menu is short but something for all our party. Freshly cooked food and dog friendly. I have been twice now in the middle of the day and will go again. Great selection of music playing gently in the background gives a lovely ambience. A little gem.
Wow wow wow what can I say a record shop and coffee shop all in one I was in heaven, it's a lovely place so clean I had a coffee and then a cold coffee in between looking for records , they had cake sandwiches but didn't have anything to eat but it all look lovely, staff where very friendly spot on I bought to many records as usual but it was a good morning and I found some great vinyl from 1977 the jam.
Plenty of had gel to use on tables and in the door as you inter and leave. Well worth a visit 10/10.
It was excellent. The coffee was delicious and so was the lemon ricotta cake. The music was really good too, but you could still talk to each other. The only negative is, it is no where near where we live so I can't visit again otherwise I would be there all the time.
Quirky and unexpected cafe off the busy strip. A little confusing on the opening times, but beyond that is a relaxing cafe that serves high quality hot drinks with a food menu to compete with. My partner and I enjoyed a double espresso and dark hot chocolate, delivered by chatty and professional staff. Definitely revisit and hopefully give them 5 stars after a brunch or lunch.
We popped into Coda on a rainy Tuesday and were warmly greeted! The quality of the hummus panini was outstanding and the coffee was super. We did not try the Guinness cake, but the two ladies sat behind us were very complimentary!! Definitely worth a visit if you need a restorative brew.
Great place, was recommended by a friend. Lovely coffee and food, friendly staff. Relaxing environment where you can browse, purchase and listen to vinyl. I took my 16 year old daughter for lunch and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
We love driving over from Stockport to Coda. Barbara and Neil always give us a wonderful welcome and the food is fantastic. Such a great selection on offer and the cakes are stunning! Great tunes playing and a lovely atmosphere.

Great coffee shop. Lovely atmosphere, tasty coffee and cakes (plus a selection of teas!), Friendly staff, and many superb vinyl LPs (there's always something good on the turntable!). Highly recommended.
Seriously good food (soup & lemon polenta cake were excellent), warm and welcoming atmosphere, great music and selection of vinyl to purchase. And dogs are welcome too! Couldn't ask for more from a cafe.
Brilliant coffee, food and vibes.
My new favourite cafe in Buxton. If you love vinyls, great coffee and cakes then you need to pay The Coda Vinyl Cafe a visit. Made me feel quite nostalgic looking through the albums - great collection. Retro player and albums played in the background too. We'll be back. 😊
Nice surroundings, enhanced by classic vinyl records being played in the background (and for sale). Friendly staff, lovely coffee, tremendous cake. Dog friendly too. What’s not to like?!
Lovely place. Really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable owners. A very nice selection of new and used records. The coffee and cakes were excellent too. Perfect.
This is such a cool place, listening and seeing vinyl records being played as you're slurping away with your mocha. Lovely atmosphere too. Loved it that much, went back twice 👍
Regularly pop in here, it's obviously difficult for them with the covid situation but the service is still friendly, food and coffee still first class in a lovely musical atmosphere. Best of all dogs are still welcome.
