Just enjoyed another fantastic meal, I have been here with friends on two occasions had fantastic meals. I have been raving about it to my husband for sometime and tonight we came with another couple and it didn’t disappoint. Everyone was extremely overwhelmed at the fantastic quality of the food, the punctual service and the friendly atmosphere. It’s been the best night out in a long time. The food is just incredible and huge hats off to the guys behind the bar. Amazing cocktails too. I couldn’t fault this place one little bit. Thank you so much as we will be returning very very soon.
Fabulous food, steaks are so tender and delicious, the desserts are the best of the best, staff very attentive, nothing is too much trouble, wonderful atmosphere, can't rate it high enough
Dog friendly, open fire and amazing staff. The steak was by far the best I have tasted. Atmosphere was spot on and pub looked great. Highly recommend
What a great evening! Excellent food and excellent service. Would highly recommend The White Hart and we will certainly be coming back to enjoy more of the menu. Awesome atmosphere, very relaxing.
Today I visited the white hart for fathers day lunch. This is the second time I’ve visited and my dads first visit. It’s safe to say we loved it. The roast is unbelievable, dare I say it the best I’ve ever had. Between main and desert we where planning our next visit! This will soon be a stand out pub/restaurant across the South east.
The staff are all fantastic, welcoming and extremely attentive. They have pieced together the best parts of a restaurant and a pub and created a masterpiece. Can’t wait to return! 10/10

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the team at the White Hart for an AMAZING eating experience!!!
This wasn't just food, it was attention to detail and outstanding customer service. By far the beast steak we've eaten in a very, very long time and the service was second to none.
They have an amazing selection of beers / ale and their Gin, Rum and Whiskey choice could have easily made me drink till the wee hours
For four of us I think the bill was exceptionally reasonable and a thoroughly good time was had by all.

Visited yesterday with family , lovely pub , nice food and welcoming staff . The roast was excellent , plenty of meat perfectly cooked , a little skimpy on veg if I was going to find any fault but otherwise thoroughly recommended
Such a great find 2 miles from my parents. .. excellent food loved the chilli and pepper homemade sauce with the calamari real fire doggi friendly relaxed open tab trusted with no card loved it ..felt as if we're on the continent how it use to be ..made to feel super welcome from Ben Daisy & Beth ..put a review on trip adviser too ♡

On our visit in Buxted we decided to visit this place, and boy did it not disappoint. We visited a grand total of three times in the course of one week cause their food was so splendid.
Their steak and ribs were fantastic. I will add as a side note that the fried onions on the ribs were not as nice, as they had turned pretty hard - but it could be scraped off and worked around. Especially the dry-aged sirloin was unlike any meat we've ever had before.
We came back sunday for their sunday roast, which was absolutely incredible. I had the guest lamb roast which was perfectly cooked and plentiful for one person. Their selection of vegetables with sweet potato, peas and cauliflower was a delicious supplement too. The starter of dumplings we had was also worth mentioning, definitely my favourite of the options we've had. Spicy and flavorful.
Last time we went for their burgers, for which they had a very good deal on Wednesdays, and were once again delighted. I can especially recommend their sweet potato fries which added a lot to the dish.
All and all, a wonderful restaurant and one of the few I've been to that had me consistently looking forward to visiting again.
We were a group of 4 staying nearby for playing golf the next day and it was very easy to book at The White Hart.
When we arrived, the staff were very welcoming and let us know about what's available or what wasn't but we're very friendly.
The food was superb, two of our group got the tomahawk steak and it was incredible - well worth the extra.
The rest of the platters both the starters and mains we ordered were all to a great quality and delicious!
Good music and good atmosphere and the lady who served us was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted or needed.
We were last out the door, and we even asked what the music was they had playing and they hooked us up with the Spotify playlist!
10/10. Fantastic choice for meat lovers.
We visited here for lunch and the food was delicious and the portions were big. The staff member who served us appeared to be the only one working but did such a good job managing everything. The atmosphere was ok but I don’t think this was helped with it being a quiet lunchtime service.
Sunday roast was fantastic, meat (beef) a little bit under for me, but served as it said.
Next time I will have an alternative meat, but absolutely no complaints from the 5 of us.
Dog friendly too, will definitely be going back !
This was one of the best roast dinners I have ever had out. The roast trio consisted of beef, pork belly and turkey with all the trimmings and lots of delicious gravy. Virtually faultless. The portions were large including the desserts which were equally generous. The building is cozy with real fires and a spacious conservatory. To top it off the staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back.

We went for a spur of the moment Sunday roast. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. 2 of us had the pork belly, and 2 had the turkey roast. The pork belly was really good. The Turkey was a Turkey roll joint rather than a full bird or crown, not exactly as we were expecting. It wasn't as nice as expected. However, the accompaniments were really nice. Stuffing ball, pig in blanket, large Yorkshire pud with green beens, cauliflower cheese & greens. Really tasty overall but a little pricey. I would recommend but eorth considering the cost, a roast is around £18-20 for an adult & £8 for a child.
I very rarely come over this way a d it's always nice into a place like this. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the roast was great.
First time at the White Hart for many years and have to say did not disappoint. The Street Corn starter is brilliant and the roast (vegetarian option) was equally good. Staff great and beer (Harvey’s Best) very good. Wife said her WHB Bloody Mary was fab. Will be back soon.

I'm autistic & my partner has food allergies, it was our first time in a pub in over a year so we were concerned about going.
The Covid measures in place are spot on, the social distancing between tables is right & the staff are masked.
The staff were knowledgeable about their menu & adapted dishes to dietary requirements whilst giving the impression that it was no trouble at all & making us feel relaxed.
The food served was second to none; expertly cooked, beautifully flavoured & well presented with good portion sizes, all for a very, very reasonable price.
I can "hart"ily recommend The White Hart & am looking forward to going back.
Lovley inside here by the fire 🔥 , had steak on their steak night and was very nice and thick. Brownie was the best I've ever had. Staff were friendly and nice. Was a little expensive but worth it. Will be back again

What a find. Spotted on a quiet week day walk - I got exactly what I hoped for: a pint of Harvey’s and a good lunch. I imagine the atmosphere in here in the evenings and the weekends is stinking.
This pub is a hidden jem. Great cosy pub and friendly helpful staff. Longman beer, amongst others. Good selection of whiteley nie gins. The food is great. If you're in to steak, then this is
Definitely the place for you. Dry age steak, with dripping chips. Mmmmm. We will definitely be going again for their steak meal for a couple and wine for £55 also my partner said her veggie meal was perfect.
Nice Sunday roast, food was good, service was a bit slow, clearly a pretty new team but they were all friendly and served with a smile. Good deal with the 3 courses for £30. Garden looked inviting in the sun this afternoon, although still a bit cold for eating out in my opinion, but others were enjoying the early spring sun out there!
Overall, a nice place for a Sunday lunch with the family 👍
