Lovely warm friendly pub. Popped in for a drink and lunch after a local hike. Perfect venue for lunch or dinner with family or post hike pit stop. They are very accommodating for both options. It’s got a nice Prime Ministerial connection as the local pub to Chequers so lots of local history. Perfect place and highly recommended
Lovely warm and welcoming pub so handy, after our long Sunday afternoon walk around the Chequers estate last weekend. The Sunday roast was delicious. Service was very friendly, helpful and pleasant. Will definitely visit again. We were intrigued by the portrait gallery of prime ministers through the years, who have stepped out of Chequers to quench their thirst with a pint at this local pub!
Whilst away on business I stopped for lunch at the Russell Arms.
Really lovely staff, attentive and still following covid guidelines which was nice to see. The pub is really well presented and very clean.
The lunch menu has a great choice for all.
I tried the chicken pasta. It was superb!
There is a great choice of ales too.
Nice to see a lovely pub still trading post- lockdown when so many have now been forced to close their doors permanently.
Keep up the good work!
Great pub, really friendly staff, very accommodating, incredible food, highly recommend a visit
Outstanding pub serving outstanding food, quality is without doubt the main priority here! Well done guys highly recommended and certainly deserving of a place in the Michelin guide.
First visit to the Russell Arms with friends for a pre-Christmas meal. The warmest of welcomes from our host and made to feel like we were lifelong regulars. The menu was simple and short, which led to a lovely pick and mix of starters between the four of us. The cauliflower and squid were excellent. I have the wild venison steak for main, which was beautiful. Tender flavoursome and cooked to perfection. Service throughout the evening was first class. Great value for money meal that we all enjoyed and unanimously left saying we must come back very soon. Thank you.
Really lovely pub. Stopped in for lunch mid-walk and had an impressive seafood salad open sandwich. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, will pop by again :).
Lovely beer garden lined with herb and flower beds. Good quality pub-grup and usually has a couple of interesting cask ales
The sharing starters are lovely and we had a mixture, black pudding and brown sauce, sausage and a mustard sauce and garlic and cheese bread. All beautiful ❤️
Difficult to rate anything properly at the moment, but food was good, staff friendly, we where outside and it started to rain, we where immediately offered an umbrella.
