I have multiple food allergies and came to Mabel's with friends for an afternoon tea - this is the first time I have been able to eat sandwiches and cakes in a restaurant without any allergies! They catered especially for me by baking scones and making sandwiches and cakes all with dairy free butter and preparing it all in a separate room - the best service I have received so far for my allergies! Would recommend it highly.

This was truly the best afternoon tea I have ever had. The setting was idyllic and the staff were delightful but the tea was absolutely fabulous. The sandwiches were fresh and so tasty, the little quiches were superb, the cakes were mouth watering, the chocolate strawberries yum and to finish off the scones, jam and cream were delicious. I really can not recommend Mabel's highly enough. What a find!!! Will certainly be returning soon. My only complaint that it is not open every day!!! Thank you so much Martine and staff.

We have just returned from a wonderful afternoon tea that I had booked for my Mum's 85th birthday. Everything was wonderful. The sandwiches, scones and Lemon Drizzle cake were all really fresh and tasty. Unlimited tea in proper tea pots and beautiful china cups and crockery. Martine and Judy, and all the other staff, were so friendly and very efficient. The house and gardens are also really lovely and we will definitely be back again to sample more of the menu and to see more of the garden. If you haven't already been then I would definitely recommend it!! Thanks again. 👍😁

A lovely little gem. Going back in time for an elegant tea in a house of history. The menu was good. Most of us (9) had the reveley tea which was very nice. Catering gluten free was helpful too for one guest. I would definitely recommend Mabel's vintage tea rooms and look forward to go in the summer for tea in there garden.

Lovely lovely lovely! Fantastic ambience, quiet and quaint, well-maintained. Super friendly service. Awesome tea, sandwiches, and cakes, and the smaller sized scones were perfect, given the huge spread. Highly recommend. We were a party of 9 and they took care of us really well, right from emailing back and forth about our vegetarian and kid-friendly requirements. The garden at the back was great to take a stroll after the heavy tea. The sunny weather was indeed icing on the cake.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful time myself and my friends had today at our afternoon tea treat at Mabels. First of all the tea rooms surroundings were amazing with just a perfect setting. The food was so fresh and scrummy. The food was so plentiful that we all had so much that we all left with a doggy bag each. The two ladies that were looking after us, was so attentive and couldn't do any more for us. They made our visit very special. A birthday treat to remember.

Lovely place to spend time and relax. Helpful and friendly staff. One employee knew lots about the history of the place and Mabel herself. It's definitely worth a trip. Come rain or shine, a visit to Mabel's is a must.

Delightful typically English tea-room with traditional cakes, scones and more in a stately house. Waitresses in old-vanished uniforms....perfect place for a wet autumnal day.

This place can truly be described as a vintage tea room, being set inside the wood panelled Billiard room of this early Victorian house. Traditional afternoon tea and sandwiches are offered at reasonable prices with the cream tea (delicious) costing only £6.00. Your tea is served by traditionally uniformed, friendly staff. Before or better, after your tea and weather permitting you can walk around the gardens which I believe include a herb garden. Well worth a visit especially with good friends and family.

Had a delicious lunch of Welsh rarebit. My friend had a huge jacket potato with fillings. The house is part of the Bushey Museum and has got an interesting history. The waitresses wear traditional dress. In the summer you can sit outside. I will definitely go back soon
