Went with the kids for a treat. They enjoyed themselves and the fun activities on the back of the kids menu. Shame there's no pepperoni pizza on the kids menu, it's their favourite.
The staff was amazing, the food was lovely and the building was unbelievable and the atmosphere was uplifting. What more could you ask for. I really enjoyed my self.
Like most Wetherspoons it can get very busy at certain times and this converted cinema is on a single level - though there is a raised area up a narrow ramp towards the kitchen area to the back of the building as you enter. As it's one level it does mean there is less seating available. This means that toilets are all on the ground floor though which I think many will appreciate.
Again, like other Wetherspoons you can theoretically order at the table however in practice I have found that this seems to fail in certain areas of the building.
There are 2 coffee machines (to the left as you enter) but these are a somewhat badly positioned as one tends to block the narrow ramp to the kitchen, some seating and also the disabled toilet which is obviously less than ideal.
The building itself retains some of the original features of it's heritage which gives it originality.
Pub used to be a theatre judging by the nice interior and the name...d'uh!! Quite sizable pub with loads of seating. Was generally full whenever I visited, with mostly lone drinkers it seemed. Used the app to order and the wait times were accurate. Servers friendly, food done nicely according to wetherspoons.
Best looking spoons I have ever visited!! Only drank soft drinks and coffee as I was working around the area, probably a good thing as I reckon after a few beverages I would have liked to have found my way up onto the balcony for a proper look around this fascinating building. Food was standard spoons quality which is good for the price.
Nice servers, good was served pretty quickly, really tasty food. Almost didn't go because of a few bad reviews. Happy I did as this was the best food I've had the whole week of eating out as I'm here on holiday
Handy place, just across the road from the bus station. Usual food etc, well worth a visit. The view above on the inside shows the original circle of the cinema, looks great.
The Wetherspoons was packed on Bury market day. (A Wednesday.) Got the last spare table. Service was fast and efficient. Food came in10 minutes. Lovely pint of Moorhouses Straw Dog. Round was as cheap as chips. Great value as always. Lovely interior.
Had our breakfasts here lovely staff and a lovely atmosphere, really friendly people to have a nice chat to food was very nice, teas and coffees too, very handy to the bus station highly recommended!!!!!!!
The decor is wonderful I love old theatres ,the food was great and the drink its a good place to finish off the day of shopping at Bury Market before getting coach back to North Wales

We came into this Bury watherspoons today. Great service, normal weatherspoons, interiors, and beers slightly disappointed with the guest ale choic only 3 ales
If you have been a better choice today I'd have given 5 stars
Visited here on a wet dreary Tuesday lunch time having never been to Bury before. Despite the bland exterior, what a beautiful pub inside with many original features from its time as a cinema. Enjoyed a nice steak. If I lived in the area I would definitely revisit. Bar staff were friendly.
