Lucky enough to be here on reopening night under new ownership. Visited with my family and we were delighted to see the steam train passing behind the field and enjoyed the beautiful cows in that field which adjoins the pub. Staff were very friendly and the food really was exceptional. My husband ha
Very nice pub recently taken over by new landlord. Not doing food yet but it is planned to start in October. Comfortable indoors. Outdoor area OK. Only one hand pumped beer but hopefully that will increase as business picks up. Staff friendly and responsive.
Friday afternoon drinks 🍸 at the Garsdale , well recommended. We were staying at the burrs campsite so only 5 minutes away, warm and welcoming pub with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Good selection of beers 🍻 and what we saw 👀 of the food on offer looked very good, we will be back to try next
We are staying at the campsite up the road and wanted to find somewhere for a nice Sunday roast. We were not disappointed, the roasts here are fantastic and reasonably priced! Lovely view from the garden and dog friendly.
Lovely meal. We only just managed to get served as they stop serving at 7 pm . We were staying at the caravan site. Meals served from 12 to 7. They had run out of pie but that was ok as the Garsdale burger was excellent and as I say it was coming up to the end of service. The young man who served us
Made to feel welcome, food was good lovely modern interior outside tables front and back for better weather spacious car park just down the road from Burrs Country Park
This place has a new menu food is lovely and kids eat free with one paid adult meal.
No bouncy castle as its new owners lots of outside seating little play area for kids good for dogs, they bring you a dog bowl of water,
sometimes you have to ask but all round really good
So much better than the rather cramped and dated Brown Cow Great food, friendly staff. We were staying at Burrs Park caravan site and would definitely recommend this Pub.
Food was lovely, staff were friendly and polite, fantastic beer garden
Couldn't book anywhere. Found this place after long drive. They took all 9 of us. Only one chef on but did a great job. Food was great.
Boxing Day too.
I never leave reviews but was really impressed with the homecooked food here!
Had a birthday meal. The staff were really polite and helpful. The food was quality and tasted amazing. Parking available and great outdoor space.
Definitely coming back here! Loved it!
Staying at the Caravan Club Site 5 minutes walk away, so thought we would give this place a go. We sat in the restaurant section at the rear of the building, but could have sat in the Bar or outside. I had the Rag Pudding (Google it) with chips, mushy peas and a pot of gravy, whilst 'the boss' had S
Called late afternoon and were made so welcome. Fabulous meal, the black black pudding and spiced tomato soup to start were beautifully seasoned, well presented and hot. We chose sirloin steaks for our mains. - cooked perfectly with a very generous portion of chops and sides. Faultless and dog frie
Staff friendly food great vary welcoming amazing day when the ww2 military vehicles turned up
Great quality steak cooked to my liking, nice big portion, home made chunky chips & onion rings. Plus salad, mushroom & tomatoes. And the wine was good quality too. Dog friendly and pleasant staff. Will definitely return.
It is mostly a pub for watching football each time we have been there it has been busy and noisy with supporters there is a dining room at the back but it is always busy so we have always had to eat in the bar/tv room. The food was good.
Stayed at Burrs Country Park for a long weekend. 5 couples 60 -70
Called in for a drink on Friday evening and were made very welcome . Decided to go on the Saturday to watch the football and eat. The food was amazing . All home cooked and fresh . Very reasonably priced .
