Mark and his partner are lovely. Went for wine after dinner and absolutely had a great time chatting them up. Only been open a week or so, but you can tell they love people and their wine. Absolutely gorgeous inside with the refurb. We will be back!
Not only does Whitings Bar serve a great array of beer, wine, cocktails and standard drinks. They produce fantastic nachos (veggie option is unrivalled), the vibe and welcoming atmosphere can’t be matched. Thursday night live music and great for date nights and/or with friends!

Amazing place. Food is brilliant especially nachos and chips. Not normally a fan of nachos but they're brilliant and the portion size is superb. Mark is brilliant and definitely cares about the customers - keeps the place warm and makes decent cocktails with plenty of alcohol. Lovely vibe almost between a pub and a restaurant. We look forward to going here. Their dog sleeping is also a plus! Absolutely brilliant.
This was our first visit to the bar which had only reopened the day before. Mark the owner welcomed us and so did Jack his son. Both were really friendly chaps and made us feel welcome. They have done an amazing job with the decor. Although we didn't eat, the food looks really good. We had 2 glasses of thr Chablis which was a very good wine. They keep a good selection of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks. I think we are definitely going to have some food next time the nachos looked really good too. Good luck Mark and team in your new venture. We shall be back !
Great atmosphere, welcoming and friendly. We sampled Expresso Martini (lovely, not too sweet), Pawnstar Martini and Margaritas - all lovey. Our other halves chose from a selection of bottled beers. We ordered 2 sharing plates of Nachos with chilli - one veggi and one meat. Both were yummy and enough for the 6 of us. Definitely recommended. 👌

We had an amazing time. After taking a chance on this cute as anything Bar, me and my wife quickly felt right at home. Mark and Julie, with the help of the dashing Arthur, made us feel so welcome. I can't recommend this place enough. Only wish we had more time to visit again. Thank you for an amazing night.
Good friendly bar, nice espresso Martini and cheesey chips. Two for one on same cocktail on Thursday. Well worth a visit. Laid back relaxed atmosphere
I recently visited Whiting's Bar with my wife. We had a great evening. The nacho sharer was amazing and there was a great atmosphere around the place. Would highly recommend.
