Very quiet when arrived. Found myself a table and had a drink and looked at menu. Great selection of drinks here, prices for drinks about average. Staff very attentive and welcoming and menu explained. Small dishes, priced well. I would recommend a main and 2 sides as portion sizes of each dish can be a bit uneven so if you aren't sure between 3 or 4 dishes, get 3. Food is served quickly if you needed anything more. Food was *excellent*, cooked perfectly, looked and presented perfectly. Would really recommend. Unusual location being a bit towards the edge of the main town but very close to nearby Premier Inn Hotel but 100% worth the visit. 👍 👍

Despite being very busy the staff were accommodating and managed to find my wife and I a table for lunch. I was surprised at how nicely decorated the interior is and the staff are genuinely helpful and cheerful which translated to an overall friendly atmosphere. I had the beef pie and my wife had the Duck confit. The food itself was nicely presented, very tasty and service was quick.

We stopped here for lunch on route to the cost as it was close to A14 and was the best rated pubs in the town. There is no parking at the pub and so we parked in some bays beside the pub that had parking restrictions between 8-10am. The pub is nicely decorated, there is local artists work on the walls, the facilitates are clean and the staff are lovely. The rear garden is large though there is nothing for children, though the pubs welcome children. There is not a kids menu though they are happy to make the main menu meals smaller. Ideal if your kids are picky like mine. The children’s portions are still large and they struggled to finish. A beautiful lasagne and chips cost £10 for the kids. The main meals my wife and I had were lovely too. I very much enjoyed their homemade house beef burger. 4 soft drinks and main meals for 2 adults and 2 children come to £65. I am sure we will stop in here again. Be sure to visit.

The meal was nice and we'll presented a few more choices for starters like pate or whitebait would be nice. The place was freshly decorated and a change from last time there when it had booths!. Would go again.

Just popped in on the way to the station. Wonderful little pub. Food, atmosphere (banter) all top class, and a reasonably priced lager. 5 stars, all day long. Thankyou…

Came in here from a long train journey with our restless toddler who needed a nappy change. Clean facilities, gorgeous beer, lovely staff and a beautiful garden she loved running around in. Such a lovely pub!

Enjoyed the new menu. At least new to me after visiting before with the small plate menu. Friday night dinner for 2, had really great food and will be back soon. Hidden gem in my opinion.

Loved the staff and atmosphere, the staff were very accommodating and nothing was a problem, the place looks lovely and was nice cosy. My only little ask is they double check the temperature of the food they are sending out, the starters were good but the main course were all just warm but very tasty and presented well, there was no check back done at the time and when the young man asked at the end of the meal he was genuinely upset that this hadn't been done and was very apologetic, let's hope it is a one off as the taste of the food was great and the staff are good

Highly recommended!! Amazing food at slightly higher than average pub prices. Excellent choice and variety of tapas food. Every one of our eight dishes was cooked to perfection. Great service too, prompt and very helpful. If only the Linden Tree was not so far away from our home in the South West.

Held an evening 'event' to celebrate my late wife's life, we were afforded a seclusive area of the pub for our sole use. The management and staff could not have been more helpful, including complementary snacks. All the people who had food said it was excellent, a good night.

The atmosphere was very welcoming and comforting, it almost feels familiar when you walk in. The food was really good quality and i couldn't fault my meal or my partners. I had the beef burger which was full of flavor and she had the pork and that was soft and tender. The staff were really friendly all night and my glass was never empty for long!

Amazing!! We ate here last night as a large party and it couldn’t have gone any better if they tried. The staff were SO polite and professional; the wine list was amazing, the food was delicious! Everything was just fab. Would highly recommend and can see this becoming a new fave of mine 😊
