Visited on a Sunday for a light lunch. I had a chicken, bacon, sweetcorn and mayo sandwich and my wife a coronation chicken sandwich with 2 cappuccinos.
There was space in the small courtyard garden which was nice with the sunshine so we sat there.

Love this cafe. Been coming here regularly for years and it never disappoints. The service is friendly and quick, and the sofas and chairs are very comfortable. Friendly relaxed atmosphere.
The gluten free options are fantastic! I normally order the jacket potato, beans, and cheese, which by the way
Great place in a lovely location. Our second time here. Very happy with food and coffee. Toilets are clean but I'm afraid can't be said for the inside of cafe. Needs a good spring cleaning. Also doesn't make sense to allow dogs inside with carpets.
Excellent latte, well served, in a nice place. One of the best coffees I have had out in a while. Only had a biscuit with it... but that was good too 😊
Hidden away, we were lucky to find this. Sat in the walled garden (heaters were on and blankets available). Lovely staff. Great food!
This place is brilliant! Food was lovely and filling and the staff were friendly and casual which added to the nice relaxed atmosphere. I had a jacket potato with prawn cocktail and salad but asked for no dressing. The butter came separately so you only add what you want. My fiancé had a jacket pota
Recently been back to The Lounge for coffee and cakes, really nice,definitely will go back. Hopefully will be warm enough to sit in garden.

Had lunch today and the sandwich I had was delicious, they certainly don’t skimp on the ingredients! The cake afterwards was also very nice. I recommend a visit if you are hungry. The staff are very friendly and helpful and service was quick.
I’ve been spending a bit of time in the Lounge & Garden in the last few months. Their staff are amazing, always helpful and very friendly and polite. The drinks and food are great. All in all I can safely say it’s the best coffee shop in Bury St Edmunds and as a family run business it’s spot on 😁👍 p
Lovely place, relaxing atmosphere and great food. Dog friendly, courtyard to the back offers sunshine, though not guaranteed, so warm blankets are available.
