The Corn Exchange - Bury St. Edmunds - Photo album

This is the poshest Spoons on record according to Tim. It is an amazing structure with some fascinating history but it's not one of my favourites. I have never seen such a busy Wetherspoons. People were waiting patiently for tables to become available. It was madness really. We went at lunchtime & i
The restaurant's interior exudes old-world charm, with roman coloums and vintage decor that transports diners to a bygone era. Each corner of the restaurant tells a story, inviting patrons to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of the building's past. But while the ambiance may be steeped in hi
Had to review my review again as I feel something has changed for the better. The quality of the food that's coming out of the kitchen has improved. The plates are not as cold as previously stated in my last review of the place. Staff are and have always been friendly and helpful and the only thing
Weatherspoons Bury St Edmunds: Wow what a building. Nearly walked past this magnificent building when we noticed the signage. Entry can be through a side door for disabled and those with prams. Otherwise a grand entry at the front of the building by two side staircases. Large airy building, good se
It was reasonably busy when we arrived, with a good atmosphere, always a good sign. It was recommended to eat here due to the venue, and that didn't disappoint as the corn exchange is a lovely building. Staff & facilities. The bar staff were friendly, unfortunately the same could not be said for th
Surely one of the best spoons in the country, incredible building, really good service and really well cooked and presented food. At the usual bargain price too, and with the convenience of the brilliant app. Unfortunately, a little let down by the clientele, three lads having a shadow boxing fight
Amazing building. Might be the most impressive pub building in Suffolk if not the UK
Short visit on a midweek morning was pleasant enough. Food acceptable & ale as usual in good condition. It being a rather large area atmosphere was lacking, seating not overly comfortable but acceptable. Access is by several stairs, but there is a lift at the side of building although this isn't cle
Voted one of the prettiest Wetherspoons in the country. Ample seating, large bathrooms. There is a lift for disabled access around the side of the building if it’s your first time, may be tricky to find. Food always comes out quick and hot, drinks served fast. It’s a Wetherspoon pub, but out of th
You know what you’re going to get at a typical spoons, this one doesn’t disappoint. Food was promptly delivered to the table and portions were good. Ambience of the building was nice, very interesting architecture.
Normal spoons. It's very big, but no problem finding a seat. they don't serve custard as they have a small kitchen. Worth a visit for the architecture of the building.
Beautiful building and well located in the centre! The bar is located upstairs! Another good value wetherspoons branch for drinks and meals
The building itself is in the top ten of Spoons I've visited. Staff was pleasant enough, my missus wasn't impressed by the southern fried chicken strips meal only comes with rice or chips (she usually asks for it to be substituted for a jacket potato in every pub we've ever visited) but this one wo
What a lovely wetherspoons this is. From the moment you enter you'd think you'd walked into a posh hotel. I was in this restaurant as I'd a car to take for a service and I must say it's one the nicest I've been in. A lovely big roaring 🔥 fire and plenty of seating. The setting is brilliant and I tak
This was probably the nicest looking Spoons I have ever been in! It is a historic Victorian era building that was once used as a central hub for grain trade in Sussex. Food: I ordered jacket potato with 3 bean chilli, and my Mrs ordered a pasta dish. However, for the life of me, I can not remember
Nice place to go for a quick meal prices are good however service needs improving however there is an app you can use for table service .
Spent several hours here this weekend and I have to say it’s been an absolute pleasure. Not only have I sank several incredibly affordable pints here (including a Greene King IPA, local brew and the reason my granny owns a house), I’ve wolfed down two veggie breakfasts and witnessed a 10-man bar bra
As Wetherspoons go, the Corn Exchange isn't bad. If I'm honest it's worth it for the architecture! Decent food at a good price, the usual excellent range of beers and a good bunch of locals enjoying their breakfast.
