Had a fantastic time the beer festival, great atmosphere, great live music, fantastic staff, having wickedly sunny hot weather was a bonus everyone was happy (mind u it may hv been bcos of the amount of beer consumed) π
Sat with hubby, me enjoying the expanse of ales, he enjoyed the ciders and spirits. Roaring open fire with the smell of wood smoke occasionally wafting through. Good music. Cracking evening.
Great little pub, lovely atmosphere fab garden. Especially nice when the beer festival is on!
Popped in for an 'Early Doors' Pint and a bite to Eat on the way to a Gig at the Apex - What a Fantastic Pub! Brewshed Beers were Great and the 'Beer Snacks' we had hit the spot - Chunky Fries, Prawns and Ribs in the most fantastic smoky BBQ Sauce! It's a Fair Trek from Colchester but worth it! Will be back again soon.....
Great pub with a superb range of drinks especially the real ales.
Excellent choice of cask and keg ales. Nice snacks.
We miss JIM please come back not going to be the same
We stopped in for a couple of drinks when out walking the dog (Note: Dog friendly venue! π) on a Friday evening around 6pm. Great location in terms of near the train station but would be a bit limited for drivers as you'd have to park on street somewhere.
It was pretty busy when we arrived and continually got busier for the hour or so we were there.
Reasonable seating area inside but plenty more outside which I think was undercover and possibly with heaters too.
Great variety of beers / ales, etc., at a reasonable price.
We didn't have food but numerous people had pizzas, all of which looked pretty good!
Definitely worth a visit
The beerhouse is one of the best bars in Bury St Edmunds. The staff are so friendly and the selection of beers are great. I love the atmosphere. Great for meeting with friends or having a beer at the bar on your own. It's also dog friendly.
Excellent place. Nice atmosphere, lots of seats and friendly staff. Great beer selection from their own brewery, even managed to get a proper Black IPA. They do the darker beers very well and I'd reccomend them.
There is also a sourdough pizza place on site as well, although this wasn't open when I visited. Bar snacks are served however.
Would reccomend and will be back
What a place! Lovely look to the place both inside and out, with plenty of space and tables. Great atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Good range of beers brewed locally, pretty much something for everyone. 6 cask lines and at least 6 different keg offerings, plus Stella & Mahou for lager fans. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit

We live in Bury and we choose this as our local. They are fantastic, they always have a great selection and they treat customers well. This is a brilliant no nonsense pub. Staff are always super friendly, the atmosphere is always fantastic (photo from the end of the night outside when all patrons have gone home...except us)
Been going there for 5 years and they are still my favourite pub in Bury. Great selection of house crafted ales, as well as quality keg and cask options (with spirits and mixers for anyone else)
Popped in for a drink before catching the train home, a lovely pub, great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I've not had food there, but would like to in the future
This place is back on form with a good list of beers - and not just lots of similar brown beer. A good range of sours, porters, pales, lagers etc. And of course their own tasty Brewshed beers.
Great venue, excellent beers and friendly team
Always a good visit
Great selection of beers, will calling again. Put it on your list...
Fantastic place with thier own range of tasty craft beers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great indoor and outdoor spaces. My favourite place in Bury St Edmunds, going to miss it since moving. Will have to make an excuse to go back for a drink or two!
