Went here today for lunch with a friend. We had quick friendly service the whole time we were there. The food was lovely and it was so nice to not have to cook for a change. Everywhere was clean and it got really busy as we were leaving as the sun was out and their garden is beautiful!
Popped in for lunch as we were staying in the area and had time to kill on a very rainy day. Ordered katsu curry and fish and chips. Food arrived quickly, great portions and tasted fantastic. Nice place, great staff and will return if ever in the area again.
We were out for a walk and decided to get dinner - the two for £15 deal. We loved our gammon, and the scampi, but the winner was the sticky toffee pudding! YUM!!

A warm greeting was followed by a fantastic meal for us both, lasagne and hunters chicken, followed by bananas, waffles and ice cream. Fantastic food at really good prices and dog friendly too !
I have enjoyed many pubs on my trips to the UK, but the Tollgate in Bury St Edmonds is exceptional! The bar food is always hot and delicious! Wether you have the fish and chips or the beef pukka pie, they are all great! The beer is cold with numerous choices. I always start with a pint of Guinnes

Sunday roast was good value for money and quality was appropriate for the price. Nice atmosphere and clean restaurant with good service from all the staff.
I had a roast dinner with both meats and an extra yorkie , the food was quick hot and gah dam good, was a good day pub was lilvly bar staff where good too , door was open the whole time so there was a draft but other then that was a great family and pet friendly pub 10 out of 10 would recommend
Odd evening meal out....allocated table was in a corner with not much room. Food was nice although not keen on ordering at bar and a little slow - it was fairly full of guests. Would go again.
We had a nice lunch stop at Tollgate. Downloaded the app and ordered. All brought to the table. Nice atmosphere and nice to hear chatting as groups after so long in lockdown. Only complaint, if I did have one, nothing dark to drink.. (Ale). ☹ Belhaven Black is a Greene King beer, just an alternative
