Ant and the team have been absolutely inspiring in the way they've bought this pub back to a place you want to be in and enjoy. It's an incredible turn around from what it was. Fantastic food at reasonable prices and staff that make you feel comfortable and welcome. What more could you ask for. Well done guys!

We had the roast pork and calamari starter - both very tasty and a considerable amount of food for the roast! Reasonably priced.

Dog friendly. We came here on a Saturday lunchtime. The place is very welcoming. The menu looks like standard pub fare, but it is actually all fresh, loads of it and very reasonably priced. Given that it is close to some good walks will definitely return!

First time here since the new owners and new chef started. What a fantastic meal, great portion size, quality food and fabulous service. Even Jay the chef came over to chat and make sure all was well. Will be back again soon on a regular basis.

A local pub for local people I would say. Strong smell of paint. New ownership I believe. Small bar area. Larger Resturant. Popped in on tour of Barrow as staying locally.

Food was incredibly tasty, ribs were falling off the bone and the burger is probably one of the best I ever tasted. Even the side salad and coleslaw were awesome Service also spot on, very friendly, polite and quick! Thank you!

Called in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Waitress very helpful and friendly (had been working there for just over a year) All of the four meals were great with the‘sticky toffee pudding’ the best I have tasted wherever I’ve been! Will definitely be going back there again. Excellent

A family group of 9 of us were holidaying near-by and fancied a meal out. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent, one member of our group had the burger and said it was probably the best burger he had had in a very long time. Would definitely recommend this place.

American here. I love a good English Sunday Roast, but most pubs serve a mediocre Sunday roast… not here. The food quality and portions deserve recognition throughout Suffolk as the best Sunday roast around!

Visited here for Sunday lunch as visiting area on 09/04/23 and we weren’t disappointed. Home cooked Sunday roast which we had pre-ordered was delicious, especially the tasty gravy and the cauliflower cheese.

Popped in on Sunday with a couple mates and the food was delicious. We had 3 roast dinners that were really good and very well priced. I think you would struggle to find a better roast anywhere. Staff very friendly too

Lovely pub! I booked in advance for 13 of us for my daughters birthday. We got an email to preorder as there was so many of us, totally understandable. We turned up on time and a table was ready and waiting. There was only 2 workers as there had been an accident on the main road so they were short staffed. The lady behind the bar explained this and promised to serve us ASAP. We ordered drinks to start, very reasonably priced. Whilst at the bar the head chef Sam asked if everyone was here as he wouldnt want to start our dishes if some of us were stuck too. Shortly after, our meals all came out. The kids meals came out FIRST! I LOVE this in a restaurant, gives the adults time to sort the kids out before theirs arrives. They were followed by all 9 mains, all piping hot and together! Was a pleasant meal, everyone enjoyed their food, we had a variety of dishes, no 2 were the same. No complaints from anyone. The lady behind the bar, with dark hair and glasses was absolutely amazing at her job. She came to check the food was OK and to take any drinks orders. Perfect timing too. She was a laugh and was comfortable in her role. Its a 45 minute drive from where we live, however we was camping up the road this time. We all said we would drive the distance again soon to get the lovely meal and service we had again.
