The Sheesh - Bury St. Edmunds - Photo album

Absolutely amazing! We were visiting Bury for a wedding, we had a long journey and were getting irritable. The wife had picked this place to eat from Google, and it was a ten minute walk in the rain, which made us more irritable. We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome and a bit of conversa
In town for work and went out looking for a place to grab dinner and stumbled upon this place. When we walked in the place was empty, wasn’t sure if we were early (was 6:30) or if it was a slow Thursday night. Almost didn’t go in (actually skipped another place because no one was there) and am glad
Best meal I've had in Bury St Edmunds by some distance. Great service, made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend the platter for two as attached, Bosh!
Great and tasty food, atmosphere was lovely we went on a Sunday and it was not too busy so we enjoyed a late dinner with friends. Staff is super friendly and helpful
The Sheesh Turkish BBQ is not only our favorite Turkish restaurant, but our favorite restaurant. We go almost weekly! The meats are fantastic! The rice is always cooked perfectly, the salad and veggies are good. Just everything! The husband and I always get the lamb sheesh and lamb sheesh with yogur
I am so glad we walked in, instead of walking straight past. Beautiful food and wonderful service. The staff were friendly and polite, they explained the menu and our order was taken quickly. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We will definitely be returning.
This is a true favorite anytime I visit Bury St Edmunds/England. The meats are always so delicious— properly spiced and cooked to perfection. The bread and the sauces are also sooo good! During this last trip, the staff was so helpful and accommodated our family (party of 25) with a last minute res
Delicious food and friendly staff. About £20 pp. Not many beer options, but plenty of spirits and wine to choose from. We will definitely be back for more fresh cooking right off the charcoal grill. Absolutely delightful! Reservations probably not required, but it wouldn't hurt.
We went to Sheesh in a group of 10 people. 4 toddlers and the overall experience was amazing. The kids food was excellent. My daughter had a lamb kebab and loved it. The adults food portion was also excellent. Lots of bread was served throughout and topped up. When we all left we all said how great
It was a second choice, but the best choice. Honestly, I didn't expect much but I was wrong. Very flavorful, I couldn't finish what was on my plate. The falafel alone was satisfying (I shouldn't have ordered so much for my main anyway lol). I went in a Saturday evening and it was crowded and noisy i
I have not seen my lady enjoy her food so much in a long time. Service was prompt and great. The food (we had a mixed grill for 2) was amazing, so tasty, cooked to perfection. Will definitely be going again!!! Thank you.
Visited midday on a Sunday. It wasn't busy though it picked up as we left. We enjoyed the quiet as we had our baby with us. The food was wonderful. You must try the Sarma Lamb Beyti. It was the best food I've tasted in months, maybe years. Service was courteous. We will definitely be going back.
The food was amazing never really thought we will have such authentic experience in regards to Turkish food in this area and they serve Turkish beer
Delicious food, nice staff. If you are looking to try this type of cuisine, I can say is worth it. The prices are reflected in the quality of the food. I want to mention, I was just a little bit disappointed with the home made bread. It was tasty, but not the best. It was probably because of my expe
We booked a table for 20 for my wife birthday and these guys were amazing. Food was absolutely spot on, all came out together and nothing was too much to sort for a needy table. Cannot wait to come back again. Thanks again for a top service from a proper tasty restaurant
We are new to the area so have been looking around at eateries for a few weeks now. We happened upon the Sheesh whilst out walking one evening and decided to give it a try. We had not booked but were met with a friendly welcome, there was a nice warm atmosphere and we received very good service and
