Fantastic service today to Abbeygate Picture House/No 4 Restaurant and Bar. Iโ€™m Vegan and they were able to provide a full allergens list, as well as the staff recommending items and double checking with the kitchen on what we could have. We ended up with their โ€˜bun-lessโ€™ version of the Falafel and Halloumi Burger (with no halloumi of course!) with garlic mushrooms added. The mixed salad it came with was delicious and really varied, with mixed beans and great guacamole. Chips were great too!! Would highly recommend!

The food here was really lovely. It was the best beef rib Iโ€™ve ever had! The staff were attentive and friendly For dinner, the ambience could have been better- maybe with little battery powered lamps on each table or some lamps around the room? Otherwise a fab little dinner spot!

Absolutely delicious Sunday roast, I went for the Sunday lunch and cult classic cinema offer ยฃ30 for 2 courses and the film at the Abbeygate. The dinner was wonderful, beef with yorkshire pudding, potatoes, cauliflower cheese, asparagus, tenderstem broccoli, red cabbage, roasted carrot & parsnip, fabulous thick gravy. Sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel and ice cream for pud. Really good value for money, quality and quantity. Staff very friendly and polite. Surprisingly the place wasn't very busy. I'll definitely be back!

Had a baby shower upstairs here along with afternoon tea. It was amazing! Everyone commented how lovely the food was, particularly the rolls and lemon cake. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Such a brilliant venue to have for an event.

A Lovely restaurant tucked away inside the Abbeygate Cinema building in Hatter Street. We had booked a table for 12 for a family celebration , the service was excellent, food arrived promptly and was delicious as well as very good value for money. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Highly recommended.

Our first time eating here and it was a large group for the size of the establishment. The food was first class with the nicest steak I have had in a while, cooked perfectly (medium rare) and served with an attractive selection of vegetables. This was only eclipsed by the dessert. A home made ginger sponge served with ice cream and cream. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Add to this the ambience of the cosy surroundings of a boutique cinema. Excellent value for money and an wonderful setting for coffee and cake or a 3 course meal, with or without a movie .

It was a lovely place to have lunch. The atmosphere was nice , the staff were friendly and made u feel very welcome. The service was fast , not having to wait long for our order to arrive which was very good . It was off the main road but was a hidden gem , well worth finding . Would certainly visit again .

Wonderful little restaurant, great food and attentive staff. I would highly recommend and will definitely be going back. The added bonus is the independent Abbeygate cinema within the building which I also highly recommend with it reclining seats and sofas ๐Ÿ˜Š

Lovely place, eaten here a number of times. Cakes are amazing and all made in house, which is a great USP... The carrot cake is best I've eaten for a very long time - highly recommend. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Okay food. Brioche bun with the burger felt super greasey. Have to order chips/fries separately. It wasn't a bad night, the menu also had not a lot of it available when we last went so that was disappointing, but we were in good company.
