The sausage rolls are worth going for alone, but they do so much more. Be it a snack or a small lunchtime meal. Treats and donuts too. All in all, it's a treat whenever you visit.

The Gregg's café bakery store is situated in the Cooper's square shopping centre , and is ideally situated for those who want a snack and a drink in between their shopping trip . The café is well set out and on one level , plus a spacious entry and exit , which is a feature that suits the customers with mobility issues , and Gregg's have given a lot of thought for this in all the café/stores I have visited throughout the UK , plus WC facilities are usually whenever possible kitted out with wheelchair access and are easier to use for those with health issues or mobility issues, and are cleaned to a good standard. The Gregg's format is I think is , value for money and a quality experience for your drink and snack should you dine in or take away . The Gregg's here in Burton is a real gem , and the staff upon my visit made it a very pleasant experience as I noticed they greeted everyone with a polite warm welcome as standard , which is appreciated by the more mature customer like myself. The jewel in this cafés crown are the staff and all worked hard as customers lined up in abundance for their snacks and drinks and were all served as quickly as possible with polite friendly service , my Gregg's staff host's were BRANDON & DEBBIE they worked so hard , like all the staff, but these two brought that bit of sparkle to the Gregg's experience. The coffee served here is a blend that suits most palates and is served not over hot , I believe that it is at the optimal temperature for taste and you can handle your cup without scolding your hands , snacks and pastries are always fresh and always at sensible cost !!! , I particularly like the custard slice/ Viennese style and if you were in a continental themed coffee chain you could expect to pay upwards of £2 more for a similar one Why ?. The hot sandwich deal was on upon my visit and is a great deal! I really enjoyed the pigs in blankets and mum enjoyed her chicken and stuffing sandwich, with a mince pie for afters , a real festive pre Christmas treat .the café also had options for dairy free drink alternatives E.G soya milk which is a bonus for lactose intolerant customers all at no extra cost. I will certainly visit here again as a value for money drink and dine experience !! it really does hit all the buttons, I hope you feel the same upon your visit.

Just had a couple of days ago with my wife, steak bakes and coffee. Great as usual but on this occasion our experiance was later spoilt when at about 8 PM I realised that I had left my visa card in the card reader when paying. But the day was saved by the actions of Donna who saw the card had not been taken out of the reader. She kept my card safe and I collected it yesterday. My praise and thanks to Donna who is an asset to Greggs. You deserve the 5 stars. John and Deb Terry.

Lovely coffee & a good place to sit & have a break.

Absolutely fine and all within the usual Greggs standards, know what you’re (or should know) getting and it serves plenty of people and well every day. Friendly staff and perfectly attentive service. Won’t hesitate to return if in the area.
