I'm from Canada and was staying at Dovecliff Hall. Took a quick taxi into Tutbury where it was recommended to go to Willows for Afternoon Tea....did not disappoint!

Came here for breakfast. Tea room was lovely, as was the food (which offered gluten free too) but the staff were a little distracted and 1 young man inperticular didn't seem to know what he was doing, so maybe needs a little more training.

Another quiet and enjoyable couple of hours spent with a friend. Gossiping over tea and fresh scones. It is wonderful to find not only Gluten free scones but also lactose free butter. Attentive service from Jack. Thanks to Tina for giving us Coeliac sufferers a good choice of goodies.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at Willows. The tea room is cosy, staff very friendly and attentive and the food was all delicious and home cooked. I was so busy chatting and eating I forgot to take photos! Will definitely be back.

This Castle is a marvellous example ofthe royal outposts around the country. It famously incarcerated Mary, Queen of Scots. The grounds are extensive and its one tome chapel has been uncovered by excavation. The corner tower is an inspiration as it looks down on the surrounding countryside. How ironic that from it one can look out on Nestle's factory.

Called in for a sandwich and cake Easter bank holiday Monday. Weather was good so we sat outside. Both had Coronation chicken on granary bread which came with side salad, homemade coleslaw and crisps. The bread was beautiful, thick sliced and squidgy soft. Very tasty and well presented. Cakes were also good. Will definitely call in again if we are in Tutbury.

Staff go above and beyond to look after their patrons. Outside seating al fresco or in the garden. Food is outstanding whether it's just coffee and cake or a full meal. Always greeted with a smile!!
