Had a beautiful late lunch. The surf n turf is well recommended as is the mixed grill. Gorgeous desserts too. The staff were very attentive and very efficient. It was nice to have plenty of space with the tables well spread out. Lovely experience

Food is exquisite, the Mediterranean style salads are the best I have ever had and a great accompaniment to the steak. My wife also commented that her Tuxford Chicken was the best meal she had had in a while. Thoroughly enjoyable experience, wouldn't think twice about recommending to anyone.

Super friendly and warm welcome, waitresses checked we were ok. Drinks arrived promptly, and so did the food too. Good location, plenty of parking and outdoor seating at the front, and a lovely outdoor terrace to the rear. Smart interior in a modern style with restaurant and bar next to each other. So there is something for drinkers and diners. Since our last visit, the menu has been reduced, which is a good thing. Fewer options, better quality. Staple pub food, well presented, and all the standards with good selection. Ales and lagers on tap or bottled beer are available as well.

We have now been here twice over the last 4 weeks for Sunday roast carvery, which I believe has been exceptional. Three meats cooked just right veg selection very good and cooked just right. On both visits, the place was busy, but staff were still superb, friendly, quick, and efficient. Thanks

We haven’t been in years so I decided to take mum for lunch today to try a ‘new’ place. Service was friendly and the food came really fast! Food was fresh, tasted really good and the portion was generous for the prices. Kinder cookie dough was delicious - perfectly gooey and warm!! Will definitely be returning.

Totally changed from a few years ago, great seating areas that have quite and open areas. Was busy, and service was very good with meals coming not long after ordering, also extra drinks. Nice evening with family, I don't live in Burton, but would recommend The Beacon as the place has everything.

Would be 5 stars apart from slow bar service. Lovely food and friendly staff only let down by under staffed bar. We ordered two glasses of wine, but they hadn't arrived by the time we had finished eating. We cancelled the wine, but we were very happy with the food and service otherwise. The bar was clearly understaffed and under too much pressure. Definately not the fault of the bar staff, but down to the management to make sure they have enough staff. We'll try it again and hope this single issue has been sorted.

We visited The Beacon for a Sunday carvery while we were having a new kitchen installed. We have been to many carveries both locally and when holidaying in the UK and this was definitely the best we remember. Nicely cooked meat, beautiful veg and the best yorkshire puddings that tasted home made. Staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be recommending and visiting again.

Had a lovely meal with friends. Friday night they managed to squeeze us in as we hadn't booked. Good size portions, good choice on the menu well presented. We wasn't rushed and sat at the table for a few drinks after our meal. Large carpark.

We have not been here in a long time but we came as a treat as my boys had a great school report. A family member recommended having food here so we decided to book. The service was great we had 3 members of staff look after us, one of which was the manager. Everyone was friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing too, we will definitely be back very soon. Thank you.

Haven't been here for years since the Gaskin family ran it. It has since been taken over and fully refurbished. The environment is very modern and cosy. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was fantastic. Home made chunky onion rings are yummy. Best steak I have had in a very long time. Only problem was that they ran out of all coke syrups so had to restort to expensive glass bottles (£3.15!) They accept blue light NHS card too
